You can travel w/ a US ID or driver's license. I'm concerned for you that the lawyer didn't know that. You may want to get another lawyer.

Fairly common. Ours took 12 some days. Others are at 2 weeks or more now recently it seems.
Oh ok...thank you so much for responding!!! I guess I'll take a chill pill and wait.

Hi,
I submitted the AOS application/documents to USCIS on March 31 via priority mail and it's been over two weeks and we haven't been notified nor has the check been cashed. Is this normal for them to wait this long to notify us and give us a new case number? It was so quick when I submitted the k1 visa application. Anything you can share is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello,
I'm a bit confused on when is the affidavit of support is supposed to be provided and the type of documentation that is needed. Our NOA2 is approved and we're waiting on information from US Embassy in Dominican Republic but can't seem to find information on when are we supposed to provide the affidavit. Is it at the interview along w/ paystubs and employment letter? Anything you can share is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Hello,
I'm a bit confused when it comes to the payment for the Visa. I've read that you must pay for the visa at a banco popular before going to the interview. I've also read that you pay the $265 fee at the embassy on the day of the interview. Does this mean that you have to pay $265 twice???
Thank you for your help!

Hi,
You really don't need the messages. I didn't send out any messages and did just fine. I sent pictures of us and proof of my travels to see my fiancee. It's also helpful if you can go with him to the interview at the embassy. I went and it was really not bad. Hardly got asked any questions.
