AOS is affidavit of support? when I filed the original petition for my husband after we were married we included the children's information and everything but didn't pay any extra fees or anything because the children would come later. I just don't understand which paperwork and to file for the children. information is confusing. one place I read no need to file extra paperwork it should be included. next I read file i130 I'm just confusef

Greetings every one. My husband has been here since 2017 and we would like to bring his 14 yr old son over. His adjustment of status is not due to be filed until Nov 2018. Can I apply for him now or do we wait until the adjustment is complete. Thanks in advance

how old was he when you married your husband?
if it was under 17, you can file for him, if not, then yes, it's late
his dad can file for him but he will be approved as child over 21 of a resident and will have to wait several years
Thank you very much for the information. Yes he was already 19 when we got married.

yes my step son is listed on my husband's original petition and he is listed on the birth certificate.

My husband got to the States 1 yr ago. My step son will be 21 in July of this year. Is it too late to file an I130 for him? He's 4 months from being 21.
Please advise, he lives in Jamaica

My husband came to the states this year in Feb., now we would like to bring his children here. What are the exact steps and what paperwork is required. I tried calling to get a better understanding but of course it's like calling a radio station to win a prize. Please any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Greetings,
My husband came to the US in Feb. 2017 after receiving his visa. His conditional green card expires in 2018. Which form do we use? What type of proof is required of a real marriage? I'm just trying to make sure that I have everything in order when the time comes. I want to send everything all at once like I did with the original petition, so that there will be no need for them to contact us requesting additional information. Can you please , please advise.
Thanks in Advance

we were denied k1 visa dec 2015. got married in Jamaica april 2016. submitted new petition may 2016. finally had interview jan 12 2017. they said visa is approved but they didn't have his medical yet stating that they were about 3 weeks behind at the hospital and that they needed to remove some information from his file. I sent an email to the embassy on jan 19 and they responded back on the 24th stating that the medical had been received and the case is being reviewed, I sent another email on jan 31, asking how long the process will take and how will we know if the case is actually being updated. The response I got was " the medical was pending at the time of the interview. Upon receiving the medical the case has to be reviewed. The case is undergoing administrative processing which sometimes takes longer than anticipated. They had already told me they had the medical. If you send an email and they respond back does that count for the case being updated? This is so terrible. Had we went to the first interview with a mouth full of lies he'd probably be here already.

Yes there has been regular updates on the site. Reason for AP as stated to us was due to derogatory statements I guess when our K1 visa was denied in 2015. I'm gonna stay prayerful. I try to focus on other things but still find myself checking the website many time a day looking for an approval.
Thanks for responding

Yes they mean a birth certificate that comes from where ever your vital statistics office is. You can't make a copy from a copy machine and send it to them. Not sure about that but if you have both send both to be on the safe side. You could always get another one for yourself.

We had our interview Jan 12, Interviewer said approved. Now the case is in AP. I read that it could take 60 days, if it is not complete in 60 days does anyone know the method of reaching a supervisor????? I am trying to obtain info ahead of time just in case. I am dealing with the Embassy in Kingston.
Please advise................

Please it is very important that you read the letter and follow the instructions that they send to you. Go over the list they will tell you what you need to send. Be sure to send the info by a way of tracking the package. Also be sure to send everything at once to include the pages on the AOS that don't apply to you. I only sent 9 pages instead of the 12 and that set me back by at least 60 days. be sure to send everything and keep copies.
Take care

I guess maybe my statement was a bit confusing. my husband is here already since 2017 he came over after we were married in 2016. He is here on a conditional visa and we have to file to remove conditions in Nov.
