Any Dec 2017 filers got an interview scheduled at the San Francisco office? Our case is ready for interview since last April and there is no word from USCIS other than the weekly "We are still reviewing your case..." email.

EAD and AP cases are processed by national benefits center(Missouri). Only green card is processed by local offices.
Whenever your SR exceeds 30 day period then you can call uscis and ask the representative to transfer the call to tier2 officer( immigration officer).
In my case he just gave me the info what is available on the website(current processing time).
For everyone the EAD processing time is September 1 now. ( including your case and mine) but the actual thing is some of the October filers already got their ead. So dont know how true is the processing times mentioned.
"September 1" date is as of November 30, 2017 (as shown above the table on "USCIS Processing Time Information" site), so the actual current processing date is sometime after that. VJ's estimate for EAD shows November dates:

USCIS may receive your packet and give you NOA, but the USPS tracking will still say "In Transit". We sent our AOS packet back in December and USPS tracking still says "In Transit" for that package. Meanwhile we already received NOS at the end of December and got biometrics done earlier this month. So don't be surprised to get NOA in a week or two while USPS will say "In Transit".

So if getting EAD or GC first is only way to get SSN updated, should we use her new name or maiden name in AOS application, IRS taxes, health insurance, etc? Does the name she use must match her current SSN with maiden name, or new name as per marriage certificate?
-
My fiance entered on K1 visa and shortly after her arrival, we went to the SS office and she was issued a SSN with her maiden name. We got married within 90 days in CA and recently received our marriage certificates (its now past 90 days since K1 expiration since the courthouse does not issue certificates on the same day), so we went to the SS office to update her name and they said they cannot do that because her visa is expired and that she need to either present a green card or work authorization card. I've tried to explain to SS worker that visa expires on the day of arrival anyway, to no avail. Is this correct, or did the SS worker made a mistake? Also, what is her legal name at this point, maiden, or what it says in the marriage certificate?

Me and my fiance got married last week and the courthouse (Beverly Hills, CA) said that the marriage certificates will be sent out a month from now. My fiance's K1 visa is expiring in 2 weeks, so can we file for AOS now or we must wait for the certificate first? Can we send it later or provide at the AOS interview?

After you got your case # (which will begin with MOS) you can track your case here. When its status changes to READY, it means your documents are in Moscow in the consular. Do not wait anything from them, there is no Packet 3 in Russia.
Please, have you fiancee carefully read this (in Russian). Also, check the US Embassy in Russia web site for the most precise list of required documents https://ru.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/.
You fiancee must fill in the DS-160 form (yes, for non-immigrant visa).
How to pay visa fee http://cdn.ustraveldocs.com/ru/ru-niv-paymentinfo.asp You can do it online using your bank card. Wait till the next working day after you make a payment, then it shows in the system. K1 visa fee is $265.
To schedule her interview your fiancee must register here.
And don't forget about her medical exam, information is here (in Russian). Medical fee is $240 (must be paid in RUB in cash during the actual exam).
Thank you so much, JSWH!
I have another question. When I check the case status at CEAC (apparently under immigrant visa drop-down list item since non-immigrant/Moscow doesn't recognize the MOS number), it shows ""Please follow the instructions you received from the NVC that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment..." message. Are these standard 6 steps, or specific to my case? I haven't yet received them.

Do you mean fee for DS-160 form?
Not sure, I was just following the guide and wondering what is the next step after NOA2. What fees comes after that? Other than getting a case#, do we have to do anything else with Department of State?
-
Hi all! Got my NOA2 on 1/23 and preparing documents to send to my fiancee as per guide here. How do I pay K1 fees for Department of State? At this point, do we just wait for notification from the embassy?

Ok peps I need some help.
Not sure if you all know but there is a timeline search / sort function here on VJ.
First it shows the most recent 15 case actions.
After that it is from Jan 1 to Jan 31 all the way to present.
Here is where I need help. I'm not sure if it is a problem with my web browser or with the website there but I can't seem to scroll down past August 2016.
I can't see October and November NOA 1's.
Can anyone here see the October and Nov dates?
Thanks
Jim

Click above.
It takes a while to load/populate but when it does it only shows about 2,340 cases going into August nothing for Oct / Nov.
Just tried it and it shows up to case# 2611 for me. Screenshot:

in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports

Dec 2017 San Francisco AOS filer here, we're ready for interview since April 2018.
A 17-35 month wait would be a mess, what is our legal status once EAD, State ID, etc start to expire? Extension is only for 6 months.
