  1. Wondering if anyone can enlighten me on this. So my fiancee had her interview last March 30 and she was approved. They told her that she was going to get her visa no more than 10 days after the interview. Now we've checked her case status and it has already moved to "Issued", but when we logged in her Ustraveldocs account, all her account details are gone, even when we tried to use the passport tracker, we got the message "

    Passport Status :

There is no status update available for the passport number submitted

    "

Is there a need for me to worry or this is standard protocol?

  2. Hello All,

Hope everyone is doing well. I do have another question regarding the documents my fiancee needs to prepare for the interview. For the I-129F, we only printed a single copy of everything we sent out when filing for the I-129F petition. We thought that would be okay since we still have a soft copy of everything saved in both our computers. Would it be okay to just reprint and resign everything?

  3. Hello everyone, how's everyone doing? I'm sorry I do have another question, I asked a friend of mine who I met through the K1 Visa group on Facebook and she basically gave me a checklist of paperwork I need to prepare for my partner's interview. Under the "Petitioner's Documents" column, there is an item there for "NVC Letter Copy" so does this mean that I should be expecting something in the mail after the NOA2? We also just got our MNL case number this morning from NVC via email so I'm wondering what's in the NVC letter and how important it is. Thank you!

I've attached the checklist down below for reference but I believe this is specific to the Philippines.

  4. Hi All,

I have another question. Say we get our NVC case number by first week of February, do we have to set the medical appointment and interview right away? We were planning on scheduling both medical and interview by March or April since my fiancee will be the one covering the fees and she's still saving up for it. I also plan on going to the Philippines by July, and go back to Washington with her by end of July or first week of August.

you can start the DS 160 form, just dont complete it all the way. you can fill this form out for your fiance, you just cant sign it for her.

you can create an account so you can schedule an interview.....plenty of spots open in february and march right now.  https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

Thank you so much! I have a question also regarding the I-134, under the "Dependents Information" section, do I include my fiancee or is that a given?

hey that is excellent new my Seattle friend.

    76 days what a relief.

NVC hasn't had nearly as much work to do as USCIS slow to get them cases.

Some recent folks got their NVC in around 10-12 days. I would start calling Thursday or Friday of next week.

    Congrats again.

I'm sure your partner will be very happy to hear the news.

We ran a search earlier this evening for 10/31 received dates and no approvals came up so not sure how we missed yours.

    Jim

I was actually on the phone with her which was around 7PM when I got an email notification from USCIS. Thanks again! Btw, are there any documents we need to get ready while waiting for our case to be routed to NVC? I'm doing a quick research right now though, but I just want to get feedback from anyone here.

  7. I searched the USCIS App for 500 cases around your WAC number of those 500 approximatley 260 were I-129F's all received at USCIS on 10/31 just like both of ours.

Of the 260 there were 3 that were rejected (payment not sent or bounced check (ouch).

3 were returned for lack of signature, these 3 were all sequential case numbers which leave me to believe some bozo attorney failed to have their clients sign the forms before sending them in.

There were about 3 for name updates and 3 for birthdate updates. These happens as on the NOA 1 it says "review your info and if incorrect call us"

Then there were a total of 2 that had "document mailed" one of which is yours.

I would say you need to call USCIS on Wednesday the 30th this week if nothing received in the mail before this date. Tell them you got your NOA 1 text and it said to call if nothing by 11/30 and advise them you have recevied nothing in the postal mail. First thing they will probably want to do is verify your mailing address. That makes me think it could be that they mailed your NOA 1 but it came back undeliverable for some reason.

They may have keyed in your address incorrectly. That would not happen to often but could explain why there is only 2 our of 260 that came back with "document mailed" perhaps and this is only a guess, perhaps they reissued a 2nd NOA 1 once they realized the address was incorrect that they input. Ok I'm just guessing now. Call on 11/30

    Let us know.

    Jim

You have been SO helpful Jim, i don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you so much for your help. How were you able to find all this info? Also, for the other couple who got "Document mailed", do you happen to know who they are?

Again, thank you so much! I'm probably gonna end up calling this Wednesday. Fingers crossed for good news!

  8. Didn't you get a notice that "document sent" ?

    What was that?

Maybe you will have it in a few days.

    Jim

Yeah, it's upsetting how vague it is. I check our case status everyday too, and it says on the website that the last time it was updated was 2 weeks ago (when it changed to "Document was Mailed" from "Case was received") and its really putting me on edge 'cause I have received zero mail from them since filing the case. I tried to file a request but every time I hit submit I got an error message (screenshot attached) and my heart jumped when I saw the word "approved" but then I thought that if it really is approved then it would say so instead of some vague status that could mean anything...

I'm going to call them again by Nov 30 since, from the "Case Received" status, they said that if I don't receive a receipt notice by 12/30 I should call them up.

Also, is it okay for me to assume that they're not sending us our document back? Because the updated status did say that if we don't receive anything by 12/17 then we request them to send another copy, right?

  9. It can be 5-10 days. I would not be too concerned. You will likely have it by Monday if not Saturday (No mail tomorrow 1/11 and very little USCIS activity as well do to Veteran's day Federal Holiday)

Have you been receiving any mail lately at your mailbox?

Do you have a copy of the petition that you sent in, I would make sure that the address is correct that you gave them.

You can change the address if you want but it's taking on average 30-45 days for NOA 2 so they may approve your case before they even have a chance to match your address change up with your case.

If it were me I would just leave the address unless you are in a high crime area for postal theft or something.

Having said that is is important to note that the NOA 1 hard copy is not that important but the NOA 2 Notice of approval is and your Fiancee in Manila will likely need that during the US Embassy process.

So what ever your mail situation be sure to do what ever is need to get a hard copy of the NOA 2.

    Jim

Thank you Jim, you're so helpful!

I just reviewed our documents and I don't know if this is something I should be worried about but this is the only "error" I saw on the Cover letter page,

    MILITARY RD

    SOUTH FEDERAL WAY, WA

For my address, it should be MILITARY RD SOUTH then FEDERAL WAY, WA but apart from this I don't see any errors with regards to the address. Would they be that finicky that this could cause a problem with the mail getting delivered on time? I actually just moved to my current apartment last August but I only set up my mailbox recently when we got the NOA1 electronic notice.

  10. Thank you for your reassurance! Off topic though, I haven't received our NOA1 hard copy which is weird 'cause I'm following Jim's timeline since it's so close to ours, plus the fact that we live in neighboring states. I think there might be something wrong with our mailbox and I'm worried for the NOA2 hard copy (when it comes, hopefully soon). Anyway, is it possible to change the mailing address even though I technically didn't move? I usually have my items shipped to my mom's place instead of my apartment, but I just set up our apartment mailbox after we received the NOA1 text/email.
