  1. Hello everyone,

    I need everyone advise plz.

I would like to invite my mom here in the US for a visit, but I just do not know how to start or process her paperworks or what paperworks do I need? Anyway my mom is in the Philippines, she never been out of the country.

Check this link Interview experience for tourist visa to US this will give you more info on how to apply a tourist visa for your mom. I'm planning to do the same too. Good luck to both of us. :)

  2. Thanks for the reply, that cleared things up. I appreciate it very much.

    Larry,

There's no such thing as a "co sponsor" for adjustment of status.

A Joint Sponsor prepares an I-864 with supporting documentation, same as the Sponsor. A Household Member prepares an I-864A jointly with the Sponsor, and provides the Sponsor with appropriate supporting documetation for the Sponsor's I-864.

    Hi Everyone,

What Affidavit of support form do we need for a co sponsor for the Adjustment of Status? My wife is a K1 Visa holder. We are planning to have my mother as her co sponsor but she is not living with us. Is the I-864A the right form to fill up?

Waiting for your quick response. Thank you very much.

  6. When you go back on the second day for vaccinations is it in the AM or PM?

Usually they do the vaccination on the second day even if your done in the morning of the first day. I think if your done early on the first day, you will get your vaccination on the morning of the second day.I went there past 7 am and was done at 3pm and went back on the second day at 1:30 pm for the vaccination and waited for the last call where all your medical papers will go through in which you will be called at the counter and they will give the x-ray film and take your 2 pcs visa photos, was able to get things done by 5:00 pm.

  7. Hi everyone,

I'm trying to set up travel arrangements for Lirio from her home to Manila. I was wondering if she can get her St. Luke's medical done anytime (like now, so she can combine it with CFO seminar and have it out of the way). Her medical appointment date is January 5th, but if we can get her in early while she's taking care of other stuff (NBI & CFO), then we'll save a trip to Manila.

Has anyone done their medical before the appointment date? Do you have to call St. Luke's to schedule it earlier?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Has your girl been to her early medical exam? We had the same medical and visa appointment date. Im done with my medical exam last Dec 5th a month ahead of my medical exam sked. It went fine, I just went there at St. Luke's and showed my appointment letter and passport. The medical exam took one day and on the second day was my vaccinations (2 shots, MMR and Varecilla). It took one and a half day to get it all done.

  8. dear all,

first and foremost, I would like to praise GOD for making everything possible for me! all the while i thought i won't be able to make it since my fiance didn't reach the minimum poverty guideline. besides, i wasn't able to translate my latest french police certificate. LO AND BEHOLD, I PASSED THE INTERVIEW this morning!!! I think this is my way of sharing how GREAT the LORD is. With this I give all the praises and glory to HIM!

Secondly, I would like to thank all the people who had given me so much encouragement, information, advises and suggestions in this forum (special mention to roy, yodrak, uling, et. al)

Thank you so much and I hope that all of us will be in God's hands.

I can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens me! - Philippians 4:13

CONGRATS Tam!!! Yes, God is so good.

  9. I have a question about Visa Forms that are to be completed. We have completed every form thus far, as well as almost have everything together for the interview. Is the DS156 and DS157 the only documents required to be completed in Packet 4?

Also, does anyone recommend going to the medical exam earlier than the scheduled date? If so, how much earlier?

I read about several documents needed to prove the relationship. Is a marriage certificate showing we were married in the Philippines along with photos of us at our wedding enough?

    Thanks all!

Personally I recommend going for the medical exam early. That way if there is minor problem you might have a chance to resolve it in time for the interview. We plan to do it about 1 month before the interview.

The only reason to do it one week before the interview is if your fiance(e) does not live in the Manila area and would like to make just one trip.

Yes, I agree with the idea of getting early medical exam. I already had mine Dec 5 which is one month ahead of my medical exam schedule. With God's help, my medical went good.

    Lara

  10. December is almost here. good luck to all my fellow December interviewes with our upcoming interviews.

Thanks man. If your like us, you are so nervous and biting finger nails and just praying and hoping everything is smooth. Good Luck!

looks like your the first up in the group, know you'll start us out with an approval. Yazi will be flying to Manila Dec 3rd for medical. my fingernail biting will begin when she texts boarding the plane, but I'm confidant that we're ready. :D

    Hi Roy,

Where in Davao is your girl from? Im from Davao too, I will have my early medical exam on Dec 5th, will be flying to Manila on the 4th.

  11. Hey guys please update my timeline...Finally we got scheduled for the interview it will be this coming January 19th at 6:30AM. I called NVC and got the date.......but when i checked it online i doesnt say we have it...Anyway my husband and i were both happy!!! Hope you all have your dates soon!!!

CONGRATS!!!!! That's a great news.

Good Luck to all of us scheduled for January interviews.

  12. Not a bad idea Rob. We spend so much time to make sure our documentation we are sending our wife's is perfect most of us never think of an NSO issued document getting challenged. I would think to have extra copies at the time of interview will help. The only thing I don't understand is why the embassy would ask my wife to bring another one if they are going to take 4 to 6 weeks to request their own copy from manila cso???

Then again, not much about this whole process makes sense to start with. It is sad that so much fraud puts the legitimate people through this extra waiting. Oh well, a new day and we will make it.

You guys can tell me if you think this will work or not. I am ordering one copy of Lilia's birth certificate online and having it delivered directly to the USE in NSO envelope with our MNL file number on the address. Lilia will order one additional copy (other than the one she currently has) from NSO on NSO paper in unopened NSO envelope. Hopefully, the one mailed from NSO will find its way to our file prior to the interview. We will have one additional copy from NSO in unopened envelope from NSO PLUS the one she already has in her file. I will also attend the interview. These are all the measures I can think of to head off what appears to be almost automatic AR.

    Hi cybernutguy,

I wonder why the consul ask your girl to have another copy of her BC from NSO. What was wrong with the BC that she brought during her interview? when did she order a copy of her BC from NSO before interview date? I just wonder if the consul would want the latest date of the requested copy of the BC in security paper from NSO. I also wonder if that's the case with the CENOMAR coz I ordered 2 copies of BC and 1 CENOMAR last August and Im thinking of ordering new copies by January before my interview so I will have the latest copies. Just taking some measures as Robhankins said.

By the way, my BC is also registered late. I was born Dec 1972 but my BC's date of registration which was received by the local civil registrar was Aug 1973. On the other hand, it doesnt have any comment that it was late registered. Honestly, Im getting worried also about my BC. But someone said that it wasnt much a big deal coz my BC was only few months registered late and not years. i just have to bring back up documents like school records and employment ID or any documents that would help proved my identity.

  13. OMG....We didn't know about a cenomar! It amazes me that I have an atorney and he has said nothing of this! Where does she get a cenomar?

If never married, a Certificate of No Marriage Record (CENOMAR) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) and printed on NSO security paper should be submitted. You may call the NSO Information Center at 02-737-1111 or visit the NSO webpage at https://www.ecensus.com.ph/Secure/frmIndex.asp to secure a CENOMAR (Singleness).

What does the NSO security paper look like, and how exactly can we tell if the CENOMAR and BC we have is on NSO security paper? :help:

i do think that BC/CENOMAR varies in colors. last 2002 i think the color of my BC from the NSO was green with 3 stamps on the front but the DFA took it for my passport. then i get another one this year colored pink (the paper itself) over top by some yellow colored ink, with no stamp this time. so colors or stamp doesnt really matter as long as you took it from the NSO itself (knowing there's a barcode and registered no# at the bottom), so the embassy might check that barcode whether what you have is a fake BC or not (just my guesses). i dont know about the CENOMAR though...

Thanks for the info. I think I'm reading here that only the NSO office in Manila issues the BC and CENOMAR on NSO "security paper", and that the paper is rather distinctive-looking.

Does anyone know if you can order this through a local NSO office or does it have to be requested at the Manila office?

    [/quote

try to call NSO helpline 027371111 to order

I already know you can order online or by phone from Manila. What I want to know is, can my fiance go to her local NSO office and order the BC and CENOMAR on NSO security paper from the NSO in Manila.

Yes, she can get her BC and CENOMAR at her local NSO office. It's cheaper than ordering online. I got mine from NSO Davao City i ordered 2 copies of my BC and one for CENOMAR.

    Lara

Were yours on NSO security paper?

Yes, Mine are in NSO security paper which I got from our local NSO office here in Davao City.
