Hello everyone! I'm a citizen of USA and Russia. Now I'm selling my property in Russia and going to do wire transfer to my bank in the States. Will I need to pay taxes in the US on the amount that I transfer from Russia?

I have similar question. What if beneficiary quits his job before the interview? Would he have any problems at the interview? Would it even matter if he has a job or not? He wrote in DS-230 that he is currently working.

I also have my International passport under my maiden name and Green Card under my new last name. All I had to do is to send my passport to the Russian Consulate and ask them to make a record in the passport that my last name has changed. It took about a week to do that. I never had any problems travelling. I always have my marriage livence and translation into Russian (would be Ukranian in your case) with me and was asked to show it only once at JFK airport. Other times I just showed the record in the passport. I'm not sure where exactly you can do it in Ukraine but I'm sure it could be done. Hope it helps

My case was closed on October 2 and they still haven't mailed it to the Embassy yet. I called NVC 2 times, they said the case is still at the facillity and it might take 2 to 4 weeks to get it mailed Why is this taking so long? So hard to wait.

Hello everyone
I have a question about filling out AOS form (I-864). I'm sponsoring my Mother but I've been unemployed for almost 3 years now and using my husband as a co-sponsor. His income is higher than poverty line requirement. But I was wondering if I should still list assets in I-864 so they see that I own something. Also, how do I include real estate as an asset? My husband and I own a house but it's not paid off yet. We had the house appraised 1 year ago, would the appraisal still be valid? How can we calculate the house' cash value?
Thanks to everyone who will reply

Thank you everyone for answers!
I got my property as a gift from my grandma back in 90's before I moved to the U.S. My grandma died a few years ago. Does this change anything? Does it still count as income or as a gift?
