I feel you....Its ridiculous...I really don't understand how USCIS works, even some cases that had RFEs didn't wait this long for their EADs approval. Have you involved your local congressman/woman? I got mine approved and I am still waiting for my child's EAD approval and its well over 130 days, 2 SRs, still nothing, I am getting the senator involved today and I am waiting for a Tier 2 officer to call me back and explain why we have to wait this long when all other cases filled at the same time have gotten their approvals.

    Its annoying:bonk:

I was going to contact our congressman but since they told me they already approved it September 5th i decided to let it go.

Anyway i had good news today my online status changed to "New card is being produced". Now waiting to change to "Card Mailed" and tracking no.

All in all i've passed the 5 months mark and would love to know why, please let us know what the officer said about the long wait.

Hello: so I am in the same boat as the people above me. My EAD got approved on August 16... I was so excited I got the letter and that it. Nothing after. It's been over a month and not card yet. I called and talked to a second tier officer who told me "I don't understand why your card hasn't been produced everything is correct so I am opening a service request. I told her: "No, I don't want a service request I want my card to able to work. I just need someone to press the button to print it, that's it". So of course they open my 4 service request that nobody ever see it. With the title "resend card". What?! resend my card it was never produced the first time! So frustrating! She told me to wait for another 15 more days begin I call again.

Omg that's a nightmare, what does it say online for your case?

The best of luck to you, hope they fix it soon.

Same thing happened to me. They received my application April 24th and approved my EAD/AP September 4th. My status changed to "card mailed" on Tuesday and according to USPS informed delivery, my EAD/AP should be delivered Monday! So hopefully yours will be mailed out very soon!

Congrats to all that have gotten their GC!

Mine is still at "case received"... but thank you so much for your reply, good to know i can be hopeful.

  3. Wow great to see so many people already got their GC:)

Unfortunetly I'm still waiting for the EAD/AP, its gonna be 150 days waiting time tomorrow (NOA date was April 28th with no rfe's!!!).

I call USCIS every other day and they tell me my case was approved September 5th but the card is still not produced and no mailing date. Anyone else going for something similar? It doesn't make any sense to me...

I made an SR in July 3rd and another one in July 18 even tho no action has been taken regarding my first SR.

The July 3rd SR is still untouched, they managed to work on the July 18 SR after 9 days. My request for expediting the case was in July 21.

I was told by a rep that once a request to expedite the case has been created, the SR registered is no longer of importance. But on the same day that I received the mail from them asking for more evidence proving the reason for me filing for expediting the case, I also received the NOA2 for my EAD and AP.

They're kind of confusing at times but you just have to find the right person to talk to.

How do you do that? Keep calling. I also try to get the agent names and agent IDs of each rep I talk to. I had spoken to a guy called Cesar, another one called Lester, a lady called Courtney and fella named William, but only Lester and Courtney managed to help me go through my concerns about EAD updates. Mine got approved by the 107th day of being active. I started calling them on the 81st day.

I hope yours gets approved soon. :)

So I called USCIS today and as I was predicting nothing came out of it. They told me that i have to wait the 30 days the review of my SR takes, so before September 10th there's nothing to do... I asked if a supervisor (Tier 1 or 2) could give me more info and was told no, try to call again next month.

    119 days and counting:(

Did you talk to a supervisor or just a regular rep? Tier 1 and Tier 2 have more authority and can do certain things that a regular agent couldn't do. Try to call back and follow up on the same SR. I put 2 SRs and they answeres me on the 2nd one. Right before they answered my 2nd SR I even put up a request to have my case expedited due to severe loss of finances since only one person is working etc., by the time I received the mail of them asking me for evidences to support my claim for expediting the case, the same day I got the mail for the NOA2 of my EAD and AP.

I have called I think 4x. I was only assisted properly by the 4th call. And I learned that I was given a wrong info by the 2nd rep I talked to.

Don't stop calling. You're already waiting too long.

I will try this tomorrow, thank you. My fear is that because my last SR was completed on 08/10 they'll say i have to wait and refuse to transfer me to a Tier 1 or 2...

Based on my experience, an Infopass appointment won't do you any good. If your case is beyond 106 days (current average VJ processing time), your next step after a service request should be to have your USC spouse contact their representative in Congress to have an inquiry submitted.

Speaking of that, I spoke by phone with my representative's office on 8/16 and they put in an inquiry the next day. I followed up with them yesterday. Their only update was that my wife's case was "with an officer" which was basically the same status update I received at the Infopass appointment on 8/9. However, given that there's now a congressional inquiry on record with USCIS, I've been told that we should have a decision by the end of this week. Fingers crossed!

Thank you, your report on the infopass appointment was very helpfull, i believe i'll follow your advice. If nothing happens until the end of the week we're contacting our Congressman.

    Best of luck to you.

  7. Hello everyone, glad to see a bunch of you are getting good news:)

I'm also an April filer (case recieved by USCIS on April 26th), and still no EAD/AP or scheduled GC interview.  Until now, during the K1 process everything went so fast and easy that this wait, 118 days today, now is being so hard.

I've called USCIS and and submitted 2 service requests, the officer was friendly but not that helpful and the SR's were completed with "you should recieve a decision or noa shortly".

I cant ask for an expedite since i don't have job offers yet but do you guys think an infopass would help?

I'm loosing my marbles here, we were thinking of second wedding back home next month, but i guess those plans won't come through...

  8. Hello everyone :)

We are also October filers and though i never posted just lurked through this thread a LOT! all your posts have helped me tons and  VJ was really my go to place to make sense of the visa process. Thank you so very much!

I have to say i know every case is different but we were so lucky with how fast it went (less than 4 months) and i must praise everyone from USCIS to the NVC to the Paris Embassy, all the people we talked to were professional, kind and helpful.

I'll be moving to the US next month and just hope AOS goes as smoothly as the K1.

Good luck to all of you here, hope everyone gets approved and reunited with their loved ones very soon. Take care.

Oh okay awesome and thanks again, however I only seen that statement under the K-1 and not the IR-1 for the mailing address as Portuguese. Sorry for doubting you, we received an email about it today and now I'm getting confused.

Yeah I'm K1 and living in Portugal so maybe your case will be different...

But if you get the chronopost envelope (it costs 59 euros) they should be able to send the package to any european country. I assume your spouse belgian address is already on the visa application so they already have it but it's always best to remind them at the interview.

So you just input your current mailing address without being able to change the country and then you notified the Consulate Officer at the interview about it? Just trying to get clarification before I do it.

I guess it's either or when it comes to getting in contact with them, because I tried the skype and regular phone line with no luck with an actual person. I've only been keeping contact via email, but they do take the full 5 days.

I greatly appreciate you for replying! Thank you!

Sorry i forgot to say... must use the Embassy address in Paris.
