I have not paid the Visa fee yet, only booked the appointment. I have emailed them, and I'll be calling in the morning to see if I can get any insight into this.
I've read of people who fill out DS-160s up until the interview and just bring in both the old and new confirmation numbers and don't have a problem, so I was unsure about this. I've been reading posts all night and still can't seem to find anything that says they had to reschedule, so I was just curious.
Thanks for the advice!

I posted this earlier and I'm hopeful I'll get some replies, but I thought I'd turn to you for some expertise. Thanks in advance!
I have multiple questions. I've looked through multiple posts about both of my questions, but they were dated years ago and I'm wondering if anything has changed.
1. My fiance received a new passport a few days ago. On his DS-160, it still has his old passport number listed. Is it okay to create a new DS-160 to fix this? Is it even necessary? I've read it's okay to just take the old passport as well as the new one, and they can change it there. I've also read posts where they were turned away for this and asked to create a new DS-160 and return for a new appointment. Our interview is next week.
2. I was able to pay the courier fee, but not the actual visa fee. There was never an option to do so. How can I rectify this? I've read it's okay to create a new account, but I'm worried that will mess up our interview date somehow, or make us reschedule.
Thanks again!

Thank you so much VJ! You've been invaluable during this process!

I'm glad you think that if it gets delayed, it'll just be a short turnaround. I was having nightmares of my packet ending up circling the country for months on end, or worse yet - lost! Thank you!

I am the United States citizen from Georgia. I am currently lucky enough to live with my fiance in England.
My fiance dropped off our K1 petition packet today on his way to work, but made a few errors. Some I don't think are a big deal, others..well, I'm not so sure. I'm nearing meltdown mode. If any reassurance or advice could be given, it'd be much appreciated. He mailed our petition to the Lewisville address, since he used express mail.
On the $340 Money Order (we had to use one instead of a check), he wrote
Pay To: US Department of Homeland Security
Address: USCIS
Attn: I-129F N-400
2501 South State Highway 121
Business Suite 400
Lewisville, Texas 75067
Why he included both, I'll never understand . The "Pay To" line is spelled out correctly, but will the "Attn" line make any difference since he included both?
Then, on the actual package to be delivered, he wrote
USCIS
ATTN: N-400
2501 South State Highway 121
Business Suite 400
Lewisville, Texas 75067
I can see that all the K1 and N-400 petitions end up in Lewisville for intake. Do they open all the packets upon arrival? What I'm hoping is that our packet will be opened, it will be realized that it is indeed a K1 petition with correct fees, and the N-400 part will just be ignored.
And then on the cover letter, again, he put
USCIS N-400
2501 South State Highway 121
Business Suite 400
Lewisville, Texas 75067
I doubt the cover letter will make much difference, but I'm panicking about the money order and package address.
Please give me some reassurance that our packet will be correctly sent on to the processing center and not sent to a N-400 processing center, only to be turned around again. What, if anything, can or should I do about this now?
Thanks,
Anxious and Seeking Reassurance.

Nevermind - I calmed my anxieties about that and just sent the one!

This sounds ridiculous, but is it okay to send 2 full and complete I-129f packages to USCIS? I've had absolutely awful luck with mail arriving in the US being damaged or being lost all together. I was thinking I could just send 2 packets to be safe, or is that a bad idea? Thanks!

Yep, exactly the same situation just happened to us. Our interview had to be rescheduled because of an error on their end. sigh. Oh, well. It's only a few weeks after the original date, so not much harm done! Sorry to hear this happened to you, but glad to know I'm not alone! Thanks for the reply.
