my has been transferred, and we went to new york local office, we need an interview for 1-30, which is unbelievable, but i don't know when they we schedule us for an interview, it is a hell out of waiting. :(  I submitted an inquiry online, and when we went to the local office, the lady filed one for us too.

Your case is different than ours because I am outside of the United Sates. But it seems like the immigration centers are trying to move May applications lately. I hope you hear good news very soon. I know how frustrating and painful the wait is, like everyone else in here.

congrats, did you get transferred? I filed 223 days and transferred to local office

Thank you, no our case was totally processed in Nebraska. When my husband went to the local immigration office as he was asked to, it was because he made too many inquiries about the case so the officer only told him to have more patience. He went to the local office about two weeks ago.

I have heard of people doing personal interviews at their local office, but have not experienced this.

I did receive word on Wednesday, 22nd that there was activity with our case... Well sorta... Our K3 application was closed and it states on the website, "On February 22, 2017, we closed your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number LIN**********, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means." However, when I called about this, it still states that our I130 is still being processed.  The customer service reps have told me that if my K3 has been closed, that it must indicate that our I130 was approved or denied, but it just may not be updated in the system.  Then when you ask to speak to a supervisor, they always say that are not accepting calls because of of the high volume of calls....

I wish you the very best of luck and I hope you will hear good news soon, I know how frustrating waiting and unknowing are. Hoping for the best to all May petitioners who haven't heard a thing yet.

Is anyone in May still waiting to be approved?  Our priority date is May 13th and I am pretty much giving up hope... I tried to get my local legislator involved and they were able to get us a bit more information as to why it is taking so long... "extensive background checks"... But come on... We both have clean records and my husband is coming from Sweden... What could there possibly be to check?

Our PD is May 11, we are still waiting and USCIS officer told my husband exactly the same thing "additional background check". According to the officer, they are doing a background check on me in Saudi, which is funny because I moved out from Saudi since 2007 and most of these years I was in the US !! I have clean records in Saudi, UAE ,where I was before moving to the US, and the US.

  5. Anyone around the May 13 priority date still waiting to hear anything...?? This is getting a bit ridiculous... We are starting to get very frustrated since it has been over 6 months and we still have not heard anything and/or had any updates...

Our PD is May 11 and we are still waiting too, my husband called the USCIS 800 number last week and they said they are working on April's files. I feel your frustration. Our life together started to feel like only a dream and we might not be together again!

  6. 05/5/16 ....I-130 priority date

    09/08/16...RFE

    10/19/16 ..I-130 Approved

Got petition approved on the 19th. This included a RFE request. I hope I can submit documents via email to the NVC. I read today it was possible to send pdf documents and that seems so much more convenient as I'm living with my wife in Europe now.

Can I ask which service center your petition was in ?

    And congratulations

  7. My husband filed the I-130 petition in March 2016. We received the first I-797 on May 13, 2016. The petition is in Nebraska right now. We've been away from each other for over a year now because I left the U.S.A in September 2015 and first time my husband filed the petition was November of 2015 but we didn't hear anything from USCIS, so he filed again in March. We are still waiting.

P.S. I studied in the U.S and got my Bachelor Degree from there so I lived there from 2010 until 2015. Met my husband in 2011 got married in May 22, 2015. We had never been apart during our dating and engagement years but we are apart during the first year of our marriage !!
