hello I have some concerns with this i601A, that I would like clarity with before I file.

I have been in the states since I was 2 which is since 1979. my mother brought me here. i have no evidence of lawful entry. i was advised that i am eligible for this waiver. but after reading a few of these posts i am a little scared to do it.

    1.i have no criminal record.

    2. my I130 was already approved for me and my US citizen spouse.

3.If i apply for this waiver and i am approved, and i when to go to jamaica for my interview, is there a chance that i might not be able to return to my family?

4.Does anyone have an estimated time of how long will i have to stay in Jamaica for this process?

    5. I was reading something about a ban??

    6. what reasons can they deny me for? ( because i was reading that people were being denied, but it was for people already residing in Jamaica) I am in the states.

please if you know anything about this process for people living in the states without a criminal record please let me know.   all my family is here in the US.  I hope i am posting this in the right area.

Hello, I will advise to get a lawyer. I would not suggest to go back to Jamaica since you are already in the USA. Pay the ban and do not in any circumstances go back. My story is similar but our lawyer screwed us over, he never informed me on paying a ban. Went to my interview in Ciudad Juarez, MX and got denied and ban. All this could of have been avoided if we had paid the ban and been informed. Now i am paying the consequences and being away from my family. I have about 9 months away and patiently waiting for my I-601 to get approved.

@rogerabrego How are you able to calculate the cases that have been approved thus far? I have the case tracker app but I'm not able to decifer much information from that. Also would you mind sharing what is the average date that they are working on? We don't have facebook so we are unable to follow the group thread.

I got that information from the website followed: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/directorates-and-program-offices/administrative-appeals-office-aao/aao-processing-times

    Hi everyone,

I had my visa interview on dec. 18, 2016 and I was told by the officer that my Visa was approved. However, later on the same day I checked my case online at the U.S embassy website it says administrative processing then on January 3rd my case status changed from administrative processing to "Ready" and the day after I received a call from the U.S embassy to verify some information and today January the 4th my case is back at administrative processing. Therefore, I am really curious to know what is happening to my case as it moved back and forth. Any serious comment and information will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

When did you submit your entire paperwork if you don't mind me asking?

    THANKS

That is awesome, congratulations. Hope everything goes well, keep us informed. Can i ask when you guys submitted your I-601?

  5. Don't mind at all...i petitioned my husband about 4 years ago and took for ever like always plus by lawyer did screw up having us have to pix errors etc...on day of interview he was allowed to file a I-601 because prior to him voluntarily leaving the states he did live in USA for a few years illegally. But he has no deportations or criminal history.

On April 5th they got our i601

Oh wow, that sucks to hear. Hope you guys get approve soon. They got our i601 on July 28 and I too got screwed over by a lawyer. Been in the USA since the age of 2 and i am currently 30. Been in California 28 years and never committed a crime, paid taxes and etc. Lawyer never informed us that we had to pay the pardoned. So i basically deported myself in other words.

  6. WE SUBMITTED OUR I-601 AND WAS RECEIVED IN DEC 18, 2015 ON SEPT 16, 2016 THEY REQUESTED MORE EVIDENCE. SO THAT WAS SUBMITTED AND RECEIVED ON OCT 7, 2015. IT IS NOW 4 WEEKS SINCE THEY RECEIVED IT AND WE ARE STILL WAITING ON THERE RESPONSE.

IF ANY KNOWS HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR A RESPONSE. PLEASE WERE DESPERATE :crying:

What kind of evidence they did request if you don't mind me asking? I hope my case does not require additional information.

  7. Of course ask away. he was denied as my fiance was in the USA, he was never deported left voluntarily due to family death. no crimes clean guy, ever year paid his taxes. only reason denied 1 illegal entry

Awesome, thanks. Seems similar to my story, I entered the USA at the age of 2 and never left. I am currently 30 but basically deported myself when i had the Ciudad Juarez interview on April 24, 2016. The lawyer screwed us over and never informed that we needed to pay a penalty. So at the date of the interview i got denied and told me to file the I-601. I'm also married to a US citizen and have 1 daughter. My wife completed the paperwork in July and also went to therapy. The paperwork got received on July 28,2016. So on October 28, 2016 i have completed 3 months since the paperwork has been filed but technically 6 months in Mexico. i too have a clean record, pay my taxes and etc. So the letter you received this week is for your appointment? Did you guys show extreme hardship in the documents? Sorry for the questions just amazed that is has been 3 months and you received your response, which gives me hope that i will be accepted shortly.

  8. so this morning after Mondays letter recieved in the mail,I recieved this morning i-601 waiver has been approved for my fiance. im very excited feel blessed so much after tears of thoughts that we were just taking the step to separate and take our on ways, but God had different plans :dancing::wow:(L) .

    Help or input whats coming

    Fiance visa approved - Nov. 24 2015

Interview in Ciudad Juarez March 9, 2016 - Refused

    i-601 waiver rcvd May 23, 2016

    i-601 waiver approved Nov. 2 2016

now i heard he may need another interview, but not sure someone told me it will be delivered to DHL and no need for interview. I know i should wait for the letter but when it comes to planning, we need to be very so much prepared

Wow that is awesome, congrats to you both. Prayers so everything goes smooth either at interview or if received at DHL. I have a few questions, hope you don't mine me asking. Why did he get denied in the first place? Did he get deported?

  9. Hi everyone!

Just wanted to give an update...our case was updated on USICS.gov this afternoon...my husband's 601 wavier was approved on 10/24/16. Yes! Finally! Now we wait for the Consulate to receive the approval from USICS, and the letter that "gives instructions" (hopefully we won't have to go back to Juarez for another interview...fingers crossed). I will keep you all posted. Hang in there! I am praying for you and your families )

    Joy

That is awesome news, congrats and wish you guys the best. When did your application get accepted?

  10. Has anyone processed there I-601 form on July 2016 and has received a response? As of today they are processing February 2016 but possibly some cases can be expedited quicker if "Extreme Hardship" can be proved. I usually call every two weeks, there is a myth if you are constantly calling that your case can be processed quicker. I honestly don't believe it but it doesn't hurt to try. The processing dates are updated from the 15th to the 18th of each month. So by now it looks like they are working month to month. Which basically means i will get my appointment by March or April of next year. Was hoping to be back by Christmas. Good luck to all!!!

  11. Hello,

I had my interview on April 25, 2016 in Ciudad Juarez, MX and was denied since our lawyer never informed us we had to pay a fine. Basically i deported myself in other words. I'm currently 30 years old and been in the USA since the age of 2 and have never left the country then until now. The interviewer asked me to the file "I-601 Application For Waiver Of Grounds Of Inadmissibility". My wife did the entire process and my case was accepted on August 1, 2016. I have been researching and everywhere that i am reading it states the process is an average of 6 months. I have been living in Tijuana, MX since the date of my interview and have been away for almost 6 months but my case has only been in the process for 3. Any of you have filed during the same time and have received a notice? Or anything that can help?
