  1. There are 3 doctors you can choose from : one in Antwerpen, one in Brussel and one in Luxemburg. I went to the one in Antwerpen and had no problems at all.

You can find their adress on the embassy page for Belgium. But you still have plenty of time since you have to do the medical for your visa. Good luck.

  2. We filed our petition in july and I left Belgium half september to stay in the States till the end of november. We got approved and packet 3 is waiting for me in Belgium while being over here. I had no problems at all to enter the States. The only question they asked me, was the reason for my visit and I told them : "visiting my fiance". I also brought my 2 cats over at the same time and all went well. I did bring a letter from my boss and a paper from the insurance that I still have a car in Belgium but I didn't need any of that. So I would say that you would be okay. Good luck. (F)

  3. I travelled with my 2 cats (both 9 years old) to the States 6 weeks ago. It was hard for them, especially because we had a layover at Atlanta. (I'm in Florida now). I thought about sedating them put didn't do that after all because the cats can be really sick because of it. It took them 1 day to recover and be their old selves again. Before I could take them, I had to chip them and they needed an european pet passport. Also the rabies shots and a declaration by the vet at least 2 days before departure that they were in good health. (this declaration is part of the passport so your vet can fill this out in there). They also got an vaccination for something else but I don't remember what it was. In their passport is says something about Felocell-CVR-C, plus an echinococcus treatment. I don't know if you're going to need all that but that what my cats got. I don't know why you don't want to take the cat when you leave but I would recommand you to do that. So at least she/he will see a familiar face at the airport. It's already stressfull enough for them. Good luck.

I forgot to mention that I flew with Delta airlines and they were a great help. They were really caring. And also make sure you have the right kennel and the labels on it. Do not feed him/her 4 hours before departure and it's not necessary to take food. Maybe some water. But I doubt that he/she is going to drink...

  4. I don't think you'll have a problem going to visit your fiance. I'm from Belgium and staying in the US now since mid september until the end of november. I didn't have any problems at immigrations at the airport. They asked me the reason for my visit and I said : visiting my fiance. I did bring a lettre from my work and some other things but they didn't ask me anything else. So go ahead, I would say. :energetic:

  5. Hai,

I'm from Belgium so I don't need a tourist visa either to visit the US. We filed our petition end of june and I'm visiting my fiance since 3 weeks now and I'm planning on staying until the end of november. My POE was Atlanta. They asked me what the reason for my trip was and I told them : visiting my finance. It was no problem at all. I brought paperwork to proof that I was going back to Belgium but didn't even have to show it to them. So I would suggest : go ahaed with your plans. Good luck.
