  1. We were in AP for quite some time, about 8 weeks after they received our additional information. Then the visa was approved and we had it right away. Be patient, Montreal is slowwwwww. Good luck on your journey :)

Congrats laugmore! when did your status changed to "issued"?

  2. Hi everyone, for those of you who have ask to submit additional documents to Montreal embassy, when you send your documents in and their offsite facility have received it, did the "Status date updated" on your CEAC account have changed?? did they updated the date when they received the documents? They received the requested docs last Monday November 07,2016 but until now no change on the date on CEAC. anyone have experienced this? Thanks for the reply!

  3. Mailed in requested documents on 09/23/16, Montreal claims to have received them on 09/29/16. I contacted them via email and they told me I have to give them 8 weeks from receipt of documents to contact them again. How long as everyone else waited for them to touch the requested documents and issue the visa?

When you send your documents in and they received it, did you check your CEAC account if they have updated the date on "Status date updated"? any changes on the date? Thanks!

  5. @Ronnie28 - Have you tried emailing them at montreal-iv-dv@state.gov? Whenever I've emailed them they have sent a blanket answer which does no one any good. They previously lost documents that were sent to them from USICS and we needed to get an ombudsman involved and then they found them all of a sudden. I do know that if they have not done anything in 4 weeks that I will be involving the ombudsman again and of course my senator. This I just maddening that it takes them so long to do anything with anything. I certainly hope you get some response soon. Best of luck to you on your journey :-)

I did email them on my 8 week wait but only got an automated response stating that the review process will take 8 weeks. it has been 3 months passed now but no update yet. I hope we'll be out of this hole soon. Thanks!

  6. Hi Everyone - My status changed to Issued today... but it says in the comments that it "is going through necessary administrative processing". What does this mean? Am I going to have to wait endlessly yet again? I've been so traumatized by AP already.

Dont mind about the wordings beneath it. as long as your issued thats what it matters. Congrats! You'll get an email from canada post with tracking number soon.

  8. @laughmore- the documents I have sent them was received last august 5 but until now they haven't reviewed my case, it's been almost 3 months passed. They have updated the date on CEAC only to find out that my lawyer emailed them but no response. I dont know how long does this take....

  9. Adam, I have read this from the previous post. If your going to back read this forum you'll find out. From what I have read, this means that they are working on your case. check back tonight or tomorrow or the next couple of days and you'll see it will be changed as issued.

  10. Hi everyone! I had my interview last July 27, 2016 and the officer told me that he doesn't need anymore documents from me but he gave me 221g form indicating that I needed to submit additional documents coming from my employer. He mentioned that once everything is received, he will then iasue my visa. All these requested documents were received last August 08, 2016 as per CEAC website. I sent them an email and filled up an inquiry form to follow up my case but I only got an automated response saying that It will take 8 weeks to review it. Now, it has passed 8 weeks since they have received the documents. How long this usually take? I joined this forum to share my experience and somehow vent my emotions, because the wait is killing me...
