My online case status didn't change but my Congresswoman forwarded me an email that USCIS has my interview scheduled for January 23rd 2017. Also, EAD and AP have been put into the expedite queue. At this rate I dont know if I will even need EAD or AP, BUT.. I'm not complaining!

What did you send to USCIS to expedite EAD besides letter with job offer? I want to do the same but I heard you have to show you have severe financial loss

I just sent in the job offer letter, a letter detailing why I need to be working (husband wants to go back to school), and that with our wedding coming up, finances are really tight. No word back yet though.

Wish they would just send the RFE for my wife. No updates on the website, did the biometrics two weeks ago and just waiting now. Know we're getting at least an RFE for medical. Would like to take care of it before the holidays.

Same here! I went two weeks ago on the 21st in Los Angeles and nothing. Even submitted an inquiry through our congresswoman and nothing. BAH.

I still see no change on the status of my EAD or AP application, my I 485 status updated yesterday to "Ready to schedule interview"? Has anyone else noticed a change?

Oh, you're lucky! I did my biometrics on the 21st, but no change at all.

It's been a week since I reached out to our congresswoman's office for help to expedite my AP and EAD.. to no avail. Some people have been getting responses within a few days, but I got nothing. Ehhh. Frustrating.

Starting to feel like I got the most useless congress person's office for my EAD/AP expedite.. one week later and still no word back from them. Sigh.

I went for my Biometrics on 11/21, submitted an expedite request for my EAD/AP yesterday through my congresswoman's office. I'm wondering if I should still call USCIS since the congresswoman's office didn't confirm if they've submitted my request.

My timeline is:

10/14/2016 - Package sent via USPS Priority
10/17/2016 - Package Received
11/01/2016 - Text NOA
11/04/2016 - Hard Copy NOA
11/10/2016 - Biometrics Appointment Letter Received
11/21/2016 - Biometrics Appointment

11/29/2016 - EAD/AP Expedite Request via Congresswoman's Office

Biometrics done today! No case updates as of yet and no RFE.. as far as I know. Anyone else got their biometrics done today?

Just checked my online banking account, checks were cashed 11/15. Is this normal not to receive NOA but checks were cashed?

Happens occasionally, you'll probably receive NOA text tomorrow. My checks got cashed 10/31 and received NOA text 11/4.

  

Oh no!!! Did they give you a reason ? That's the same one we have to go to !! We are planning to go Wednesday or Thursday afternoon.

They said it's a very busy week, so they're not taking walk-ins. When I went today, there were like.. 3 people in line, and they still said no. I'm so sad! I guess I have to wait until next Monday.

Just got rejected from doing a walk in at the ASC on La Brea in Los Angeles. BAH!

Got my biometrics appointment for November 21st! Going to try do a walk in on Monday and the ASC is amazingly 5 minutes from or apartment. Awesome.

I got my biometrics appt letter in today for 11/21. It took less than a week from my NOA1's to arrive so yay for that lol. Hopefully it keeps going smooth

Here's my timeline, it's pretty much parallel with talitaraujo, but just one day later. So whenever she updates, I get excited because the next day something's going to arrive for me. Haha!

Now for biometrics. I'm only anxious to get this done quick because I want to request an EAD/AP Expedite.

But my EAD expired last week.I have to leave out of work this week. How long I expect my new EAD card? Is there any chance to expedite EAD card from USCIS ?

From what I read, it's definitely possible, but you might need to submit evidence saying that this is causing you severe financial loss, or that it will cause severe financial loss. Several people in this forum expedited successfully on their own just by calling in to the customer care number.

If rejected, seek help from your congressperson. He should be able to help. (From what I've seen, when a congressperson's office steps in, the expedite request usually gets approved very quickly)

quick question : do i need to sign up for noa text message/email or USCIS will send noa through text message or email anyway ?

There should have been a form for e-Notification that you submit with your entire I-485 packet, and they would text and e-mail you. If you didn't fill it out, it's likely they won't send a text or e-mail.

Mine was received by USCIS on Oct 18th and I got my 4 texts just an hour ago! AOS from B-1.

Just got my texts/ emails . Looking forward to NOA hard copy and Biometrics letter.

A friend just been able to get a ssn with only her biometrics letter.

She asked for a temporary ssn so she could get her drive license.

Ouch for us October filers! Looks like they're taking much longer with those NOAs. I sent mine in Oct 14th, arrived in Chicago Oct 17th. Thought that based on August/September timeline, we'd be getting our NOA within a few days. Damn. Guess not.

It's actually our wedding.. we got married here earlier in the year but I don't want to miss our overseas wedding in my hometown. Hopefully the card gets here soon!
