  1. Hi, I have a question about the uscis receipt number you get when they mail you about the biometrics.

Does the receipt number change after you do biometrics? Because I went to local uscis office for biometrics around mid-late November,

and when I checked my status on uscis.gov it still says "Fingerprint appointment was scheduled". It's been about 3 months and I don't understand that it still says

biometric was scheduled although I already went there and did it. Did anyone experienced similar situation like mine?

  2. I'm trying to fill out my N400 form and one of the parts asked if my parents were citizen of U.S.

My mother became citizen (naturalized) around 1990s and when I was filing out the form,

it asked if my mother has A number, which I think it means the alien number you get when you get green card.

But she didn't have it so she sent me a picture of her citizenship certificate, but I have a hard time figuring out which one is the alien number.

I've included a photo that she sent me (I covered the number). I think the A number I'm looking for is the second number I covered, but the problem is that

instead of number being 9 digits, it's 8 digits. So the number is A00-000-000 and I don't know if this is the right one because my A number is 9 digits without A.

If you could please help me I would truly appreciate. Thank you in advance.

  3. On N400 form part 6 Information about your parents, if my mother became U.S. Citizen about 40 years ago, do I still need her A-number?

Because on the form it says "Mother's A-Number (if any)" and I don't know if she still remembers (or has) her A-Number.

Another question is for all the questions that do not apply to you, do you just leave them blank or write N/A?

For example, Part 11 asks you how many children I have and I put 0 because I'm single, never married, and in early 20s and have no children.

But was I supposed to write N/A? or is 0 okay?

Lastly, for Part 13 Applicant's statement, Certification and Signature, if I didn't get any help from interpreter or preparer, can I leave them blank or do I have to write N/A for every

    single blank?

    Thank you in advance!
