  1. As I understand it, when you file an application you enter into a period of protected status.

I think it's way too early to try and guess what President Trump will do. Mass deportation will cost a lot of money, and a Republican congress will want to spend as little as possible. I'd say hang tight, continue with everyday life, and try not to worry.

They both entered the country (U.S) with inspection as B1/B2 visa but overstayed and applied for aos thru a U. S citizen son/daughter. Thanks for the response and Godbless everyone.

  2. What about those U.S citizen son/daughter who made an adjustment of status(currently pending) for their parents who already overstayed their visa for less tahn 180 days. Are they already considered as illegal immigrants and could possibly be affected with the newly elected president's campaign for illegal immigrants deportation? any insights for this is greatly appreciated. thanks

  4. Thanks for the respone, greatly appreciated. In the rfe first line, they were asking for the most recent petitioner/sponsor 1040 w2 etc which I hve already submitted (Tax transcripts from the Irs instead of 1040 and w2)for the latest 3 yrs with the completed I864 and I864a from my husband. Do I still need to resubmit the 1040 and w2 for the previous years or just the most recent one? w I864 and I864A again? Also with regards to my joint sponsor do I really need to submit the 3 yrs ITr or just the most recent one will be enough? Can we just submit the 2 pages 1040 and w2 we cant no longer find the rest of the forms such as the resident income tax summary w2 etc for the joint sponsor and I really want to get this over cant wait for the tax transcripts via mail. I was tryin to print tax transcrpt online for my joint sponsor bt it didnt thru. Lastly, for the apllicant's birth certificate do I still need to attach marriage certfcate for my mom (applcant)showing the change of married last name.thanku

  5. Yes they were asking for Birth certificate of the applicant and the Tax documents from the joint sponsor since our net income is below the 125%poverty guidelines. Can I just submit the most recent one 2015 1040 and w2 since they were only asking for the most recent one or just send them the previous two yrs as well but we do have just the 1040 and w2 out joint sponsor can no longer find the other attachment such as the permanent resident tax return and w2 summary attachmnts? thanks

  6. Im glad I've joined this forum thank you so much for the inputs such a huge help and my apologize for asking a lot of questions bt I do have another inquiry I just got my joint sponsor tax return w2,1040 and amended tax(1040x) in the 1040 it is in line 22 where I could find the net income what abt in the amended tax where will I find the net income. Do I need to submit Tax transcript instead of submitting this to ease the confusion also Is it alright to submit this 1040 w2 without the preparer's signature. Thanks again

  7. Hlo, Any help would be greatly appreciated especially for those who got the same rfe where it says

Submit a copy of the applicant's Birth Certificate issued by the appropriate covil authority. etc.

I was the one who submitted an I130 and I 485 for my mom. Are they asking for my mom's Birth Certificate which I have already submitted or they are asking my Birth Certificate (have submitted before) since it is in my Birth Certificate that show my mom's name as my real mother? Pls kindly enlighten me with this. Thank you

  8. Thank you so much for the immediate response. My second joint sponsor hve met the 125% poverty guideline, So its ok to use a another joint sponsor aside from me as a primary sponsor/petitioner, my husband as a household co sponsor and the other person who will be a joint sponsor so we are all three sponsors. I saw it somewhere that they are only allowing 2 joint sponsors if their are 2 or more immigrants but in my case their is only one intending immigrant. Thank you

  9. I've recently filed an I-130 along with I-485 for my mother. I have already submitted my I864 as the petitioner and primary sponsor along with the I864A from my husband as the household co sponsor. After a month of submission,I got this Request for Initial evidence stating that I need to declare any assets or find a joint sponsor due to unmeet 125% poverty guidelines My question would be Is it still possible for me to have another joint sponsor not living with us and who will file an I864 given that their will be only ONE immigrant?( I read somewhere that if their are two or more intending immigrant a maximum of two joint sponsors is allowed.) Here's my case breakdown

Me as the petitioner and primary sponsor filed I864

Husband as Household Co sponsor filed I864A

Person not living in the same house with enough income will file I864???????

Another question they're also asking for a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate as shown in the picture attached, are they referring to my Birth certificate as the petitioner since they also mentioned the applicant or petitioner or they are referring to my mom's birth certificate? Lastly, Can I also send a copy of our pictures together (mom and I) to further boost the case eventhough they're not asking for it to avoid future rfe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

  11. Goodpm, Newbie here, I have already submitted my I864 as the petitioner and primary sponsor along with the I864A from my husband as the household co sponsor. Another question they're also asking for a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate. I was quite confused are they referring to my Birth certificate as the petitioner since they also mentioned the applicant or petitioner or they are referring to my mom's birth certificate as applicant? Lastly, Can I also send a copy of our pictures together (mom and I) to further boost the case eventhough they're not asking for it to avoid future rfe. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.
