  1. OMG, if things cant get any worse, my I-129F petition was forwarded from the NVC to the wrong embassy, I just cant believe how stupid they are. I guess they send your I-129F petition to the embassy where you were married and even though we were married in a Palestinian town in the West Bank, they sent the petition to Jordan because I guess someone isnt up on their current events, and still dont realize that the West Bank does not reside in Jordan. Of course I called the NVC and they cant do anything about it now, I need to contact the Jordanian Embassy and ask them to forward it to Jerusalem myself. OMG I can just strangle someone right about now.

  2. I was co-sponsor for both my 2 cousin's husbands petitions when they applied for their immigration since both made less than the poverty line limits (both were in college and only worked part-time). Since they are the primary petitioner, they have to be the primary sponsor for their husband and need to fill out the affidavit of support for themselves and submit the required forms. I was their husbands co-sponsor and needed to also fill out the required co-sponsor forms as well as my last 3 yrs IRS returns and proof of income (such as current pay stubs or employer letter).

When I filled out my husband's affidavit of support, I also needed to fill out the required forms as well as resubmit the most recent 3 yrs IRS returns and also list that I have previously submitted a co-sponsor for my cousin's husbands in my affidavit of support for my husband. You will need to remember the dates you submitted their co-sponsor affidavit of support forms and names of their husbands as well as DOB since you need to list it in the I-864 when you fill it out.

    Hope that helps.

  3. I have not received any letter from the NVC yet confirming that they received my case, but both my I-130 and I-129F were approved at CSC within a week of each other. I called the NVC automated system, entered the receipt # from my NOA2 for the I-130 (its the WAC, LIN, or SRC #) and was able to retrieve the NVC case # assigned for my I-130. Since its only been two weeks since they received my case, I will give them a little more time before I send them email asking about status. Hope that helps.

  4. Hello All,

Im a newbie and even though I've read thru alot of the helpful info out there, I didnt see anything on this before so I just want some advice about this from anyone out there.

I have just received my NOA1 for the I-130 and will drop the I-129F into the mail tomorrow. I called the Jerusalem consulate where the case will eventually be sent and asked the wait times after they receive my I-130 and they say estimates are over a year before he will get the final approval and able to travel to the USA. Our situation really sucks cause after we got married in the West Bank this last July, I spent only 4 days with my husband and had to return to work in the USA.

If we applied now for a B1/B2 visa for him to come visit me for a month, and I write in my invitation letter that I am his wife and would like him to visit me here in the USA so that we can have a decent honeymoon because I left right after we got married, and that we also had a pending I-130 and attached a copy og the NOA1 to my invitation letter, what are the chances that they will actually approve this kind of visa if there is a I-130 petition pending in the States or will that be the reason for their denial?

We're just thinking that the $100 for the visa fee is worth the gain or possible loss, and if it gets him here to the USA with me to visit even for a month or two it will be worth it since the wait time for his visa will be so long. Anyways, any one with comments will be great, I wanted to get other VJs view or experience with this visa.

    Thanks Everyone,

    Eman
