  1. Hi all,

Today i got an email from USCIS stating my AOS case has been transferred to the California Service Center...is this a good thing?

Im pretty sure I'm not the only one to whom this has happened...can anybody going through or have gone through the same thing please share their experiences?

How does this affect processing time and does anyone know why cases get transferred?

    Thanks so much as always!

    Hi jeeleebee,

We have almost the same date. I read my email today saying my case was also transfered to CSC on August 28 and biometrics was scheduled on Sept. 1. I was happy to know that we don't have an interview anymore and I can get my greencard soon! God has been so good really.

I just want to wish you goodluck too!

  2. I was wondering if ANYONE from California (particularly Northern California) has a name of a Civil Surgeon that will complete the medical forms without charging for a medical exam......We are willing to travel a little if we have to.........If you know any, please PM his/her name to me and I would be so very grateful!!! (F)

    Thanks-

If I remember correctly, someone posted a name of a doctor who was willing to just fill out the vacc. supplement in Northern California here 1-2 weeks ago.....I'll try to find the thread again, but you might want to look for it as well.

    Edit:

    I found one:

Here's one for San Francisco, but there was another thread as well, so if SF is too far away for you, you might want to keep looking for the other post:

If your willing to travel to San Francisco, my wife had the information transferred from the DS-3025 to the I-693A for $35 at the following authorized Civil Surgeons office, she did not need any additional shots. I just checked and he is still on the list of authorized Civil Surgeons as of 7/29/06:

    Albert A. Gomez

    Meridian Medical Group

    2460 Mission Street #112

    San Francisco, CA 94110

    (415) 642-8449

No muss, no fuss. We were in and out in about 15min. Hope this helps.

    Peace, Evan and Meaw

I went there too and charged for $30.:whistle:

  3. Checking to see how much it would cost to get a shipping container for all of my fiances personal belonging and furniture from Bangkok to the USA east coast?

Does anyone know of any companies that do this and have a link or phone #?

I know in the US there is a servive called PODS, but i dont think that they do international.

wow..it would be very expensive to ship by container. My mom shipped 20 foot container to other country and payed like $3500. Maybe you would just like to ship those via boat and would usually reach US after 4 weeks. That's what i did on my stuff.

  4. I'm on the process of completing my documents for AOS but i have some problem with this I-693. I've been "shopping" around to get a good deal to transfer my vaccination information to form I-693, but they are all expensive. The lowest I got is $120. I think that is so expensive right! Is there anybody there who can help me find a cheaper one....please. I will really appreciate it!

    thanks so much guys!

Thank you so much Sherose! I'm really going to San Francisco tomorrow! Really appreciate your help.

    Goodluck to both of you!

    Hi Evan & Meaw,

I had my I-693 done today in San Francisco and just paid for $30. Wow!. Thank yoo very much for your help!

  5. Well I'm finally in the states!

I've already pretty much completed all the required paperwork for my AOS, however, I do have one question (and I'm sure this wont be my last). At my POE the customs guard was processing my paperwork and I enquired about a temporary EAD (it was worth a shot eh?), anyways I got him all flustered and the conversation somehow progressed to WHERE I am to file all my AOS, AP & EAD paperwork.

I found this on the USCIS website:

I-485, Application To Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

Effective April 1, 2005, if you live in any of the following states Alaska, California, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas and Washington,

You will need to mail your application to:

    U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

    P.O. Box 805887

    Chicago, IL 60680-4120

So I am sending my AOS, AP & EAD ALL to the Chicago office? My District Office is Seattle and my Service Center is Nebraska... just a FYI.

    Thanks! (L)(L)(L)

That's right! My applications are all on the way too! Goodluck Girl!

  7. when i was shopping around, i looked at the timelines for VJers in my area that filed AOS recently and PM'ed them for advice on finding a local doctor for the vaccination supplement. i got a tip on a doctor that only charged $35! and it saved my sanity a great deal because i too was getting outrageous quotes and doctors who insisted i had to get the full medical again (which is total bs). so try that and see what happens, ok? :)

    good luck.

Oh that's what I did lastnight nayalamb. And so far..nobody is responding yet but maybe in a little bit later.

    Thanks! :)

The I-693 is the full medical. You want...

Appendix A. Supplemental Form To I-693

You are right Luckystrike, that's what i have here. Thanks!

I think it's resonable, mine was 200$. My friend's cost was 400$. Some places they charge 500$. I think yours is the lowest price. :hehe:

he he..but some just paid for $25-35 only
