HI All,

My wife and I are waiting for my oath next Friday but after oath i wanted to do my family name change including me. We id not do it during naturalization because our parents already in US and wanted to sponsor them before their 6 month expire in March and don't want to delay our Citizenship process. My question to you for guidance is,

1. What is the process to submit name change after oath/passports

2. can we sponsor our parents with citizenship certificate, so that we can submit for Passports once our name change is completed.

any more insights will be greatly appreciated.

The officer i got was a female Christie( I think that what i heard:) ) . She was extremely courteous,She in fact cracked couple of funny comments to make me comfortable.. I took all passports, GC, DL, Marriage certificate, Kids Birth certificates and 5 year tax returns. She verified passports( entry/exit dates briefly), GC and DL.

I'm sure you will do fine. Do u have oath on 16th as well?

quick qtn- its been a week with status 'Oath Scheduled and mailed the notice'. I have not received it not i i see psf online. whoever got the oath so far, can u let me know if they upload oath document online or not.

you can always reach out your congressman...sometimes USCIS do respond favorably to their inquiry. good luck.

great.... is this oath at Penn center or Court house in Downtown? I see one scheduled for Dec 15th at Court house( found this online).

hi- I had my interview today and my application was recommended for naturalization. it went well. Officer was very pleasant. it took about 20-25 min as she was doing everything on computer.

She said oath will be in 4-6 weeks.

Hi- A friend of mne indicated that there is a process to apply and get passport as soon as we take oath. do you guys know anything about this. I know we can apply from USPS but he was suggesting to do near oath ceremony. please let me know if you gu are aware of any such thing.

hi...it took exactly 5 moths for her from filing(5/9/16). My case is still in Biometric though. Her interview is on 11/16. will keep u posted with any progress in my case. Since u have NBC, ur will be much faster that ours.

HI- I'm May filer. We applied both N400 together and had Bio on same date. But She got Interview notice yesterday but mine still shows same Bio status...is this normal?
