  1. I just named several types of documents to use.

They do not want proof that you are dating. They want proof that you met in person within the 2 years prior to filing.

Yes, copy of her J1, boarding pass, passport stamp, any documentation showing where she lived/worked in the US.

Bank/credit card statements can be used by some to show purchases/money withdrawals in the place you are stating you were together in person. Same as receipts.

You supply the documents you personally have that fit your situation. No one needs to supply each and every type of documentation that can possibly be used.

Ok, would one airline ticket be enough?

We only flew once while we were in United States and the e-ticket has both of our names on it.

Other than that all the hotel receipts has only my name on it, but can I use that with photos that was taken during the trip to back it up?

  2. Photos are not solid proof of meeting in person. You need passport stamps, boarding passes, copies of visas, receipts, bank/credit card statements, etc. The photos are secondary and back up the other solid documentation.

Proof of relationship is not required for the I-129F petition. You would be adding that in for the consulate to see, so the logs should not need translating. Place all the proof of ongoing relationship together and label it, "Relationship Evidence for Consulate."

Then what kind of evidence do I need?

We met in United States while she was on her J1 visa, I guess I can gather her J1 Visa, Boarding Pass / Passport Stamp.

I don't keep receipts and how does my bank statement prove of us dating?

  3. Hi, I have a question about the proof of meeting the person in 2 years and on-going relationship for I129-F?

So far, I gathered about 10 photos with different places and dates, our boarding pass with both of our names on it for trip to New York.

    Would this be enough?

I guess proof of meeting in person in last 2 years for us is not difficult since she was in United States for 7months of our relationship and we took lot of photos together.

But how can we prove our on-going relationship after she went back to her home country?

We have tons of message logs but its all in Korean, would that have to be translated?
