hello, regarding report of marriage, I and my husband were both widows, should that be stated in our ROM under Status? And should I sign my name with my married name now?  thank you so much.

Just filled out the I-485 for my wife. Starting the i-485 for the two boys. Do I use the same Alien Registration Number (A-123456789) from my wife's passport for the boys. Customs and Immigration did not put a A# in the boys passport, just my wife's passport. Thanks again for all your help.

The question on the form is: "Are you applying for adjustment based on the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) section 245(i)?  We are required to answer yes or no. I am not sure what to put here (Yes or No).

We are K-1 Visa applicants, we have been married for 3 months now, life is good!!!! All is good, just not sure how to answer this one question. 

Then if we do answer yes then we have to fill out Supplement A to Form i-485.

So the boys green cards are abandoned, that makes sense. I assume that would not affect me and my fiances/wife's process in anyway since we would already be married and she would have been issued her green card. Is that correct? And thank you for all these quick replies.

So the issue of their green card takes longer than my fiance? And I assume they are required to come here once they are issued a green card? That is the answer we are looking for please.

My fiance boys would like to stay at school in the Philippines and not come to the U.S.A. after me and my fiance are married. We will get permission for her to visit a few months each year. The boys are 15 and 13 and really have a good life in the Philippines. Hope this does not sound cruel to anyone, but it is the best decision for our situation and for the boys who go to a private school and live in a gated community. Life really is good for them. Any feedback on what happens when their green card is issued would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Once me and my fiance are married and we submit the paperwork for the green card, how long does it take to get the green card? I live in Washington State. Thanks everyone, this is a great website, thanks for your feedback.

Once my Fiance gets here and we get married does she get a alien registration number or a temporary SSN number once we file for her green card. I am retired Navy and need one of these to get her her military ID. Hope I do not have to wait until she gets her green card to get her a military ID card.
