  1. Hi guys I need advise...

My interview was before my second anniversary and my visa was issued after we celebrate second anniversary and it was CR1 visa.

I am leaving for usa in 10 days so my question is am I going to be issued an IR1 green card od CR1?

What should I do to be issued IR1...I mean its not a big deal if they issue a CR1 gc but why spend extra money for removing conditions after all the money we spent for fees and airplane tickets during the process......

  2. Yesterday I had a call from the embassy and a second interview was requested...I went there today around 10:30 am

The consular officer asked me a few questions which were the same from the first interview and finally he approved my visa..He took my passport and told me to pick it up on Tuesday in person because tomorrow they have some kind of celebration and they dont work for the weekend.i want to tell you all that are waiting under AP all of you will be Issued there is no place for fear its just a matter of time:)

So guys I want to thank you ALL for being so nice and supportive and I wish you all a wonderful life filled with joy and happiness.

This forum and its members gave me a lot of support and very useful advises so thank you again:)

My case updated last November 4 as READY

Case is open. ... two business days.

Because I want to go there in US before my fiance's birthday with our two kids as K2.. Im thinking if they will going to issue us a visa or not.. :(

The Co did not say why he put me under Ap he didnt say if I am refused or approved he didnt say anything to me too...maybe its for the security and background checks i really dont know...maybe its the same with you...after a while they have to contact you to tell you the reason or maybe they will look for additional evidence or documents. I hope at the end you will be issued...what does your CEAC status says?

  6. Hi leticiaifza

I am in the same situation like you

I am under administrative processing for two months and six days,i got a yellow slip and the co wrote administrative processing on it,he also returned my passport...I wrote a letter to the embassy after 60 days and they said that my case is still under Ap....there is nothing you can do but wait,I am sorry you are going through this but you are not alone there are many of us with the same problem...be patient and keep us update.

  7. Well both are spousal visas but IR-1 will receive 10 year validity versus CR-1 will receive 2 year validity green card.CR-1 needs to file I-751 to remove the condition for your Green Card for 2 year validity, and need to prove your marriage is indeed maintained with same person for those 2 years. There are some exceptions, but you have to file I-751 to remove the condition. You can file I-751 from 90 days prior to expiry date to expiry date, and if you miss it, you will loose your legal permanent resident status.

If you and your wife are married for two years or more when you enter usa then you will get the IR1 green card,if you enter usa before your second anniversary you will get CR1 gc. This is what I learned here on the forum :)

  8. Thats awesome! I'm happy to hear that your status is making some progress :)

Yes Thank god after two months..the first time they touched when I sent an email and two days after that today...Lets see what happens tomorrow and next week...hey I just wanted to ask in ten days me and my husband are celebrating our second anniversary if they call me after that and issue the visa its gonna be IR1 right? I learned on this forum about the difference between CR1 and IR1 silly me :huh2:
