  1. This is so funny, i wonder if some folks are really think U.S immigration is their friend and will open its arms to them with a red carpet to walk on

We both understand that our case is not normal and is very difficult. I never said that immigration would open their arms to us. We are not stupid enough to think that this is a cut and dry case. I just asked if anyone had a similar experience and if there was anything I could do to help the process. I'm not looking for people to tell me how stupid or naïve they think we are. I was just asking a question. I thought this was a forum to help people, not to criticize their questions.

  2. One photograph together in 10 years and your questioning why they are questioning your relationship

From the outside looking in, I understand why they have a question, but I was living in the US with 4 kids, and making quick trips to Pakistan to take pictures was a very difficult option. Thank you very much for your opinion though.

I am not asking why they are questioning it, I am asking if anyone has had a similar experience, and if there is anything I can do. Thank you for your opinion.

  3. I am a US citizen, born in the US. My husband left the US in February of 2006 on a voluntary departure with a removal order. We have been corresponding since then, while we were waiting for the 10 years to be up. I traveled to Pakistan last summer, and we got married. The trip was very short, due to security reasons. We filed all of the necessary paperwork, and he had his interview on September 26, 2016. He had all of the required documentation, including phone records, and answered all of their questions with no problem. We only had 1 photo, of just us together, due to the fact that he has been in another country for 10 years and that when I was in Pakistan I did not go out much. Even though we had phone records, and affidavits, and a co-sponsor (even though it wasn't necessary), the interviewers could not understand why we only had 1 photo. They kept all of his original documents and gave him an administrative processing letter with no request for additional documentation.

I am wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue. If so, how long was the processing? And, is there is anything I can do (write a letter, make a phone call, etc.) to assist the process.

I want them to understand that we have been waiting for over 10 years and that we just want to start our lives together.
