My income is not enough therefore I need my uncle (who is not a household member) to file I-864 Affadavit of Support on my behalf.

When he fills out the I-864, under Part 1, which would he select:

1D - I am the only joint sponsor

1E - I am the first or second of two joint sponsors.

My uncle applied for his wife's visa (she currently lives in Pakistan).

He filed the I-130, then the case was approved and went to the NVC, he paid the AOS and filled out the Choice of Agent Form DS-3032 form three weeks ago. He put himself as the Choice of Agent because he has no attorney. Last week he received letter from NVC to fill out I-864 which he mailed yesterday.

His wife in Pakistan received Form DS-3032 Choice of Agent, does she need to fill this out too and send it to the NVC?

Are they still putting men on AP or AR. My friend's husbands interview is in Jan and I think he's on the CR-1 type Visa.

I filed a CR-1 for my wife and she arrived in the US last month. She received her SSN in the mail last week. When will she receive her green card ?

My wife is in the US now with me and I am planning a honeymoon trip. My wife hasnt received her green card yet but she has a US Visa on a Pakistani passport and I want to travel to Italy and Ireland. Is she safe in flying ?

My wife finally made it to the states last Saturday April 7. Her flight landed at 1:00 and she was out by 1:45. They made her fill out a I-94 and they asked her some questions at Immigrations about me, my work experience and how we met. Allah ka shuker everything went well.

Well this person is currently my wife's brother. He just moved from Pakistan to Ireland on a student visa if I recall correctly.He always had plans of coming to Canada or US but the other day he asked about tourist visa. Since he's travelled already, he should have a good chance of getting his tourist visa quickly right ? Thanks.

All these evidences you mentioned are good enough. I dont think you need to pay at the embassy. I paid $380 for DS-230 at NVC and my wife didnt have to pay any fees at the embassy.

Congratulations ZAKI that your interview came on MARCH 29, 2007. Wish you good luck i just say u that u had to que in a yellow bar that is for immigration cases and the blue bar is for visit visa cases. Be there at time at 800am at the embassy. The immigration officer will take the appointment letter from all those immigrant cases. They will call your names many times like first you had to deposit your fees then they call you to check your papers and anything if they ask u to bring a document as they ask me to. There is one thing i want to ask u people that they gave me paper of AP. They also gave me the pink slip and the consulor officer a blonde lady told me when i ask her about the AP, that we want to check if u had any criminal record and i ask her again how long it takes and she replied me again it takes month or months.

What the pink slip stand for becoz there was another friend whom i met on the medical day and he also had the interview same on MARCH 13, 2007 and he was also given the same letter.

I went to american express and ask them this and the lady said u are approved but u had to wait until your clearance come i m still confused so will u pls tell me what PINK SLIP stand for?

Thanks, i have a question, how much i need to pay on interview day with IR1 category. I already paid 380 dollars to NVC. The lady from consulate told me to bring medical report only as other papers they already have.

I only have now wedding and some other pictures after marriage, some chat logs, and phone cards for my proof and school and diploma certificates as well. Are these proofs are sufficient ??

Congrats Zaki but you should really take it one step at a time and not think of AP/AR right now. Just focus on the interview.

It took 3 months exactly for my wife's security clearance to clear from DOS.

Takram, Ive been to AMEX in Karachi and they seem very organized and high on volume as well. I dont think AMEX can misplace your wife's file, just give it a week or two. Look on the bright side, atleast she wasnt put on AP and was given a visa straight.

My wife received her visa/passport and special documents today. Inshallah she will be flying out on April 6th. I wanted her to come eariler but all flights from Pak to US thru PIA have been cancelled/banned so only Cathay and Singapore Airlines are available. Thanks for everything guys. What do DOS exactly tell you ? Im not sure if your wife's case was put on AP or not. My wife's interview was back in Dec so I had a 3 month wait because of AP.

Tell your wife to call the embassy or AMEX to find out quickly.

Fasel, I called DOS too but they r not telling me wheater visa is isued or mailed. I know my wife had k3 interview on March 6th and she ws approved but not recieved he passport yet. Other who had nterview on March 6th did get passport on March 9th.

I called DOS today and they said the visa has been issued for my wife :-) I think its just a matter of time before my wife receives it from AMEX now.

My wife said AMEX contacted her and told her to come in tomorrow to pick up her "DOCUMENTS". My wife said when she went for her interview in Islamabad, the embassy had given back all her documents. Does this mean she will get the visa tomorrow? Thanks.
