I was an F-1 student from 2008-2010 and was issued a SSN for doing some CPT. After finishing my studies I returned back "home". I grew up in a EU country but always maintained my original citizenship - India. A year ago I changed citizen and am no longer an Indian citizen. With the new citizenship came a different city of birth (The clerks messed up the city of birth. LONG STORY).
Now I will be immigrating to the USA next year on a CR-1 visa. Will I get the same SSN or will it be new one? When the employees look for my old data will they be able to find me because of the new citizenship and change of city of birth?
