Hi,

I'm working through my I-864 forms for both me and my joint sponsor for my immigrant wife. I'm getting a lot of conflicting info from the internet on what to include for tax documentation so I figured I would ask here.

FOR ME:

I have tax returns for 2015 and 2014, but nothing for 2013 (I was traveling and made no income).

• Do I need to show W2's for my income?
• A large part of my income from 2015 was self-employed and a small part was from 2014. Do I need to including supporting tax documentation (Schedule C's and stuff) for these?
• Should I include tax documentation for just the last year or the last 3 years?
• Do I need to provide evidence of income, especially if I'm going to have a joint sponsor?

FOR JOINT SPONSOR:

He has been steadily employed for decades and recently has been self-employed as well

• His income from his W2 job is more than enough to be the sponsor with. Can his self-employment income simply be ignored?
• Does he need to include his W2's?
• Should he include tax documentation for the last year or the last 3 years?
• Does he need to provide evidence of income?

Hi!

I'm going through the sponsorship paperwork for my immigrant wife. We will be using a joint sponsor and I want to get everything as easy for him to fill out as possible.

The question I have is for Part 5 - Household Size for my joint sponsor:

Does he need to include ME in the household size or no? I'm thinking no, but I want to make sure.

He has a wife at home, so would his total household size be 3 (Him + His Wife + My Wife) or 4 (Him + His Wife + Me + My Wife)?
