She is leaving at the end of this month, I would like to start the divorce paper and if there is anything she needs to file we would like to do it while she is.

What can we do if there is any while she still here? no kids, no asset. We are very good term she just want to go home and stay there, how can get divorce. She has destroy her green card to show me she does not want to come.

Please help, we leave in New York.

  2. My Fiancee arrived a couple of weeks ago I went to register her for ESL classes but they all have already started already more than six weeks ago she will have to wait until next semester.

In the mean tiem I ould like to for her to take some kind of an english class or private tutor something to keep her busy and prepare for when she goes to class in february.

Any one in New York area have any recommendation on what we can do, one one class, anything to keep her busy and learning, we are open to suggestions.

    Thank you.

  3. Hi Bill

She was ask three questions, How did you meet? where did you meet? what do you like about your fiancee? it was quick she got there 8am she was back in her hotel by 11am. She was very scared, there were two of them one american lady and one Thai she told me the Thai lady was not nice she did not smile but the farang lady was more pleasant.

I am beside myself , I am at work now but barely all I can think about is getting there say goodbye and bring her back.

  5. Hi Toscunbill

I will check out that post. I went window shoping last weekend and saw a few rice cookers so I know where to take her for that.

Devilette, things have gotten really hard in the USA since 9/11 when it come to immigration.

  6. My fiancee's interview is this friday, October 13 in Bangkok, I am not sleeping, I am nervous, has anyone been denied the visa?

This is most stressfull time in y life the wait is killing me I wish I could go to sleep in wake up Friday, this is going to be the longest week of my life. I wanted to go but then she would have to come alone and that was not an option for me, we have decided is more important to come to the US together. I will be there a week later four or five days before leaving for the state, any advise what to expect the longest she ever flew was an hour. We are stopping in Tokyo on the way back to break the flight thinking it will be less painfull than the direct TG flight.

How did you survive the wait?

  7. Hey fellow K1

My fiancee got the call on Monday, September 25 and since then I am barely sleeping I am so nervous, I wanted to be there but can't and that is killing me. I will go after a week or two to go pick her up and fly together back to the state which I am looking forward to.

You can click on my timeline to see how long our wait was our first NOA was in April 10, 2006 and since we did package #3 & 4 already we don't have to do them over at least in Thailand.

I am getting all my papers ready to send to her as soon as possible, I guess from now until the 13 my heart will not beat the same way it use to.

Thank you for the support and hope.

Please share any experience you have when your fiancee left Thailand to come to the US I would like to hear from you and maybe I can avoid common mistake.

  11. I mailed back the RFE last week it was received now waiting for my reapprove notice, once you have gone through IMBRA and got reopproved how long before you package make to back to the embassy of your fiancee's country and get the interview date?

The wait is killing me, I was approved April 10 it looks like it's first in last out, without all the good news from this site I would go insane.

  12. Hi Ladies and Gents this is my first post, someone gave me the link to this forum after I told him about my K1 visa problem, it's nice to know that I am not the only out there. I did not realize there were so many of us in this IMBRA situation.

Here is my situation, I was approved on April 10, 2006 my fiance got package three in late April did everything got package four in May with an interview date for June 9, 2006. I was so thrill started to make arrangement to travel and go with her to the interview in Bangkok, Thailand, two weeks before the interview date she got a call from the American Embassy saying that the application was recalled.

This is was my first encounter my enemy IMBRA, I was crushed I was so close but have since then recover and now like everyone else we are waiting. I have since wrote to the Vermont processing center and got confirmation that they have my application and it's being process, that was in mid June. I have yet to received anything from the mail so I have been calling every couple of weeks or so, I am down but not out.

Sorry but there are a lot of term I am not familiar with such as NOA1 & 2, Touched and RFE, those the ones i have seen the most, an explanation would help me get a lot more out of this forum. Whom ever created this forum is a genius this is a great place to stay strong while waiting for the love of your life.
