  1. This is the situation. Fiancee (Now wife) arrived in the USA on December 24, 2016. We got married (parents witnessed) at a courthouse weeding on January 19, 2017. The court staff sent completed marriage licence to get it recorded, and am currently waiting for the completed certificate to be sent to me (should have taken it my self...oh well!). I have done some research on how to legally change her last name, and move her maiden name to her middle name (in Colorado)...do I get a social security card / number for her to accomplish this? What information do I need to get a SSN Card / Number for her? I contacted USCIS and was informed that her legal name must be on the AOS form when it is submitted. Of course, if I change her legal name to my last name and move her maiden to her middle name these are the name that would need to be on the forms. Otherwise, I was instructed to just use her birth name. Also...the work authorization paperwork will be submitted with the AOS. Does anyone have experience with this and point me in the correct direction? Thanks....

  2. Awesome! Like I said...there are a few misspellings, which is irritating me...but the overall evidence is pretty strong...also included a letter of how we met, and what we did on my five trip to Cambodia.....mother communicates with fiancee regularly, and I have those records as well (if needed). My mother submitted a letter at the I-129F petition stage....taking a mountain of evidence. In the I-129 Packet, I did submit the passport photos and visa stamps...but did not submit the photo copy of the stamps of entry / exit, although...should not be an issue (I hope) because my flight itinerary shows when I arrived and left. So many things are different this time around.....hoping it is all enough??

  3. NikaMo...Unfortunately, I have to admit..you might have a point. Doing it my self might of been better, although...it is past the USCIS stage...so compiling evidence for the interview...I have five trips worth of evidence...now whether it reaches the level of "Bonifide" evidence. Well...that is up to the consular officer. I also did take your really good advice of contacting my State Senator...and they will be compiling a letter for me to take with us to the interview (as well as...they will be contacting the embassy before I we go)...good advice...again...this does not mean that being "approved" is a guarantee...but it sure does not hurt...thanks!

  4. Well....senator is helping...we will see...also the guy who did the first interview was found guilty of being biased after several complaints and does not do interviews anymore....so..should be good...as far as criminal cases...sure..lawyers help you in court..but not when interviewed by the cops...

Also...you are from Bangladesh...living in the USA...and you applied for a USA fiancee visa for a Cambodian woman??

  5. wow...thanks for getting me worried dude! How can anyone overcome this situation? I currently work in law enforcement...not sure if that helps? Also...looks like having a lawyer helps...and...if the embassy was truly "black listed" the officials would have discontinued these visas...like the did with adoption...

  6. Well...I am not trying to be negative and live in the past. It does not matter to me right now! The interview does. Whays done is done! Also...some consular officers look favorable at a lawyer being involved...when a lawyer is involved / senator...it paints a good picture. Defending yourself in court when you are accused of a crime does always work out in your favor!! Also...countless people get RFE requests without lawyer assistance...

  7. Yeah...every one case of visa fraud that is discovered ruins countless legitimately loving couples...I have also realized upon talking with people and looking on visa journey and other sites...that the likelihood of being approved with the very first filed petition is slim at best...they make you prove you are serous by filing second petitions...a way of them weeding out applicants who are not serious...

  8. Also....have a co-worker who has a woman in Cambodia who passed...he has been married and divorced...she has been married and divorced...she has a kid...he also visited only one time...Approved! They only talked to each other for about 8-9 months...Pretty annoying...please explain this...?

  9. I contacted my state senator three times. Last time lawyer recommended senator get involved. The woman prepping my fiancee is a woman who is a legal assistant for my lawyer who immigrated from Cambodia ten years ago...if she does not know what questions to get my girl ready for..no one does...

When DiD you have your interview?

  10. True about the lawyer. However, they will prep her for the interview...that is something I can't do. Also helped with the DS-160 form. What about the "Affidavit of support"..added my income and have heard of not including other financial stuff if I make over the poverty line. What do you think...?

  11. Ok...good..there is a few...lawyer submitted the paperwork for my I-129F petition...not sure how many "typoo's" there were. Also..there is documents like "Affidavit of Celibacy", "permission from father letter (permission to marry my fiancee", and "Mothers death certificate"..that I do not believe my lawyer submitted with the original petition...is this a deal breaker...was considering taking the documentation (photo copies) with me..what do you think? Also....what should I ask the "State Senators" office in relation to assisting with me getting through this second interview attempt with the Cambodian Embassy? Thanks for your help.....

  12. NikaMo, it has been a process for me as well. My fiancee and me are finally scheduled for our second attempt at the K1 - Visa Interview. First attempt took place two years ago. Unfortunately, the USCIS petition was submitted upon me vising her in Cambodia one time. But the engagement ceremony actually took place a few months before the interview, and was never filed with the USCIS petition. You are accurate..this was a "major red flag" for the consulate who summarily denied the Visa. I also did not attend, which did not help. I have visited my beloved fiancee five times in total..Oct. 2013, Aug. 2014, Jan. 2015, Sept. 2015, & Aug. 2016. The first four trips were all included in my I-129F petition, but...of course I could not stay away from my love! I visited for the fifth time will the petition was just approved, but the interview was determined. I have visited her family extensively...my parents went with me the third trip...communicate utilizing Viber everyday (The only form of communication I have as evidence we communicate). Taking all evidence of my five trips, and 300 pgs of viber (spanning the last 5 months or so...). I hope my chance is good, if needed I will just marry her and move to Cambodia for awhile...and utilize co-signers to complete the process...

  13. Does it matter how the evidence is presented...the PowerPoint evidence of the trips is being put in a binder by the UPS store...keep me advised if this is acceptable? Of course..I am also taking my original receipts, plane tickets, ect. Taking all five trips...just making sure I have everything they might need.

  14. Evidence was not that strong. I did not go..it was just a bad experience. Thanks for the in put. There is docs...certificate of celebacy, death cert, and her father's permission for marriage letter was not included in the USCIS petition. Was told not to. Should I take to the interview?
