  3. My fiance and I are going through the annulment process, ourselves. She is from Caloocan City. She just started with a lawyer in Baguio about 2 months ago. We're at the point right now where the petition has been submitted to the court (Baguio City), and waiting on more information. Do you happen to have info you could share about the annulment process your fiance has had to go through?

Im here in baguio city. I had my annulment in tabuk kalinga. It took me 5 months to get the court decision. I had my psychiatric evaluation and pdychological evalvation here in baguio.

    Goodluck.

  4. There hasn't been much said (in recent months) about the psychological evaluation portion of the medical at SLEC. This was Dyn's experience in September 2016.

    FACTORS

Annulment where beneficiary was the subject of psychological incapacity (in this case, both parties were psychologically incapacitated)

Dyn flew into Manila Wednesday afternoon from Bohol (about a 700 mile trip) for her medical the following day. She arrived at the airport just after 5PM and was at the hotel (Casa Bocobo) by 6:30.

Dyn was up by 2AM the next morning and in line at St. Luke's by 3AM. There was just one other girl ahead of her. Because medical screenings / lab tests / x-rays are all on a first come - first served basis, it pays to be early. A number two spot in line isn't bad. She told me later that by 4AM there were fifty people in line and it grew exponentially from there. Registration is required to attend your medical. (http://www.slec.ph/us/registration/index.php) Be advised, registering is not a guarantee of an appointment. If you want to be seen, be early.

Dyn, along with others in her group, went from line to line, and window to window picking up documents. Dropping off forms, taking instructions and processing in. She really didn't say much about the physical part of the exam except that it was a very long and tedious process with x-rays, paperwork, Q&A sessions and multiple exams. I got the impression that it was more industrial than clinical. Doctors examined every inch of her body including some very dark places. She wasn't too pleased with that, but she was a trooper and stuck it out.

Unfortunately, Dyn hit only one snag at the end of the day. She finally finished her medical exams just after 6PM the first evening. As expected, because of her annulment, Dyn is required to complete a full psychological evaluation. That's the cost of ending a marriage in the Philippines. On day two, she caught a taxi from her hotel at 8AM and traveled almost an hour-and-a-half away to an approved psychologist. Originally, St. Luke's had scheduled the appointment two weeks in advance. Dyn wouldn't stand for that and insisted on an appointment within 24 hours. She got it. After a forty five minute interview with the psychologist, Dyn spent the next eight hours working through an 850 question evaluation on paper. It took her all day. The test was divided into three sections with small breaks in between (400 questions / 300 questions / 150 questions). After the written evaluation, she was required to write four short stories based on pictures the doctor showed her. Strange, right? She finally finished the session by doing the standard Rorschach test. She said there were about twenty five images.

It's my opinion that this process isn't to prove the beneficiary is crazy, but rather to prove that they are emotionally and psychologically healthy. The tests and questions can be a bit daunting, but they are designed to work in your favor if you answer honestly.

What's next? The psychologist will evaluate and send the test results to St. Luke's where they will be submitted to a psychiatrist. Yup! You read that right. Once reviewed by the psychiatrist (1-2 weeks), Dyn must fly back to Manila and be subjected to a psychiatric test and a personality evaluation at SLEC. She was told it's routine, but what a nightmare. That poor girl. After the evaluation with the psychiatrist is complete, she will wait 3-5 days before returning to St. Luke's yet again to complete the physical portion of her medical and get necessary vaccinations. In all, we are probably looking at two weeks before the medical is complete. It would be longer yet, but I told Dyn to pay the psychologist 1,000php ($20) to expedite the results. The good news is, we are still looking at an October interview at the U.S. Embassy.

Updates regarding the psychiatric portion of the evaluation will be posted upon completion.

Hi. Ive been through this process in aug.25,2016. I had no idea being annulled will delay my mefical results. I had to reschefule my interview from sept 8 to sept. 13 because i csnt make it. I webt to Slec 4:30 am i was given num 22. I finished my xray and, blood extraction and physical exam before lunch time. The kady at room N called my name gave me referral for tge phycological evaluation. I called and im.very lucky to get a slot that day because someone didnt attend her dchedule. Psychologist told me i dobt have enough time. It should start 8.am to 5 pm but i beg her as my interview was schefuled sept 8. She was nice and told me ill try i told her i can continue the next day. She told me no room for me the bext day so we finished at 7 pm. I calked her sept 1,but told me to back the next day. Before calling her the next day Slec called me informing me that my psychological result is ready and asked me if i have a new interview schedule. I had interview sept 13,issued 221g and i was in AP for 13,days. I was issued sept 29.

    Goodluck.

  5. Good day!

    Medical not yet done.

    I scheduled my medical last September 29 & 30 (thursday&friday).

My first day (thursday) of medical was done including xray, but when it comes to my physical exam the doctor asked a lot of questions about health history, i passed, but i had my annulment & wrist scars. I thought it was done & everything will be fine for my second day which is the following day, friday. Others are advised to come back the following day to know the result if it is passed or failed, if you passed you will have a vaccination. But, on my case the doctor told me to bring my papers to 3rd floor reception. It was my first day thursday and I am expecting a positive result.. When I asked the person at the 3rd floor reception what will i do next, she told me to go to the ground floor at the N-room. So, I brought my papers at the N-room and gave me a bio-answer sheets, Filled out then gave it back to N-room. After that the nurse gave me a refferal letter for psychological evaluation with contact number. She explained that i should be the one to call the psychologist & ask for schedule. Then call SLEC after a week or two if they already have my result in my psych test. ...( Well, i thought it will be the last test.. Wait..wait there's more!!) .. So, if SLEC has my psych result they will schedule me again in psychiatric evaluation then wait again for the result. .... On that same day, thursday I called PEPS (Personnel Evaluation & Psychological Services) which is located in Cubao Q.C. Infront of Nepa Q-mart, near & neighbor of Alps bus liner , "the green gate" (incase if someone looking for it). I was lucky enough to schedule the following day September 30, friday at 10 a.m.

September 30,2016 (friday)@10:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. I took & finished the exam.. It was a loooooong... as in looooong exam ... I think i answered 1200 questions (yes or no, true or false).. Then after that oral exam & another (i don't know what to call it but about pictures & images). All in all, it was not bad because during that day I am only thinking about a positive outcome to everything especially to my incoming interview. But, still i should have to wait a week for my psychological evaluation result before I proceed for another evaluation which is psychiatric evaluation.

I actually don't know what will be the next after psychiatric evaluation because I don't know yet my XRAY result. SLEC did not tell me anything about it, I was tryng to call SLEC to ask my xray result yesterday but it was answering machine only . SLEC did not inform me when will I receive vaccination also, hopefully, after psychiatric evaluation.. Praying to finish all the procedures before my interview on October 17, 2016 (monday).

    GOD bless us all!

  8. Thanks for the information, viz. I didn't realize the price of the psych exam was Php4000. I thought it was Php3000. I guess it went up quite a bit.

I also didn't realize that the psych exam took so long. It appears that it took about 5-6 hours...yikes...!

Youre right. The written questions if im not mistaken was 900 plus intetview with the psychologist. I was tired and frustrated that day but i was able to fiinished it.

  9. Congratz on your success...and thanks for sharing your story...!

By the way, how much did your psych exam cost, and where did you have to go for it?

Hello, i paid P4,000 for the outside psychologist. Her office is located at Edsa Quezon city near Q mart. St lukes gave me sealed envelop with the address and tel.number. St. Lukes just told me to call that num and asked for direction on how to get to that address and to kake an apoointment. When i called that day Aug. 25th the psychologist told me the next available appointment is sept. 1st. But i was lucky that day she mentioned theres one applicant who didnt arrived but wont be able to make it because its already past 11 am. Exams starts at 8 am and i might not be able to finish it. I beg her to take that slot available and she said ok but not sure if i can finish it i told her ill do my best. I arrived in her office at 1 pm. She wasxreally nice she extended office hours so i finished at 7 pm.

From St. Lukes i rodecthe LRT twice plus one bus ride. Thanks to the people who help me with the directions.

  10. Hello vjers. This mught help those who are annuled like me. I met my fiance on a dating site of january 2015. I went to hk in may 2015 for work. He came in oct 2015 in hk for 13 days and 12 nights. On nov.2,2015 he went back to US and i came back home to Philippines. He filed the petition 4/29/2016.Noa2 approved 7/14/2016. I had my medical aug.25,2016 and scheduled my interview sept.8,2016. Because i was previously annulled in 2008. St. Lukes told me i need to do psychological testing outside which means additional fees. They gave me letter and told me theres only one psychologist accredited by the US embassy. I finished my medical at 11am of aug.25,2016 and went it find the address they gave. I was lucky to get a slot thst day because one applicant didnt make on her schedule date. I finished at 7 pm and psychologist told me result will be released to St. Lukes after a week. I need to go back to St. Lukes after they received my results for their own psychologist interview with another fee. I wont be able to attend my k1,interview on sept.8,2016 so i rescheduled it in the 13th. I completed St. Lukes 8:30 pm of sept. 8 after waiting for 11 hours.

For the interview.... I was at the embasdy around 4:30 am. My interview was 6:45 am sept 13,2016. Long lines. First window the lady asked me to take a seat vecause tge system wont allow her to capture or scan my photo? After 10 minutes my name was called at another window. It was ok. Proceed to finger printing. At step 3,a filipina lady asked my documents. She asjed for my nbi, birth cert and matriage cert. annulment decree, and ds form with barcode. She asked me if i have cenomar and nbi with my ex husbands name. I told her i font have those two documents my nbi was on my single name. I thought cenomar is for those who were never married. Shectold me i go to next step. During thevl interview with the consular officer, i was worried bec he was not asking me qurtions he was only browsing my pink folder. I saw him reading the remarks on my marriage certificate. Then he asked few questions like whats my name and my date of birth. My fiance nane and his date of birth. How did we meet? Then he told me i need two more documents from you your nbi with aka and your cenomar. When i received these documents i will approved your visa. And he gave me a pamphlet and directedcmecto step 5. I went to ndo pasay after interview and spplied my cenonar. I sent my nbi with aka sept. 16,2016 and was delivered sept 19,2016. My case was under AP from sept. 13-18. On the 19,20,21,23,and 26 2016 my case status date was updated but still under administrative processung. On the 27, status updated to ready. On the 28th back to AP and today sept.29,2016 status "ISSUED". Thank you..... God is good.

  11. Hello,

we are from ZC.. we just read a post here that the consular officer denied the petition and issued a 221-G for a CENOMAR with a middle initial rather than the full middle name.

we are from ZC, we are in the same boat, we have a CENOMAR with a middle initial, we are going to PSA in manila on monday. but we already have a psa issued CENOMAR from ZC, we just need the middle name to be fully printed out.

does anyone know how long will it take for the CENOMAR to be able to provide it to us? assuming that we already have a CENOMAR.

we have our interview schedule for Sept 29.

    tough question, hoping for help.
