When I checked my H1B status on the USCIS website, it says "my request for initial evidence was mailed." What does it exactly mean? Will it be the employer or is it me who will provide the necessary requirements for it?

Is it okay then to have 2 selected applications from the lottery? Is it the reason why it took so long to be it approved?

I have two approved H1B Applications this May 2016 from two unrelated companies. As of the moment, the cases are still pending according to my two employers because the USCIS is "busy" due to the influx of processing 85,000 applicants. I am really bothered because most of my colleagues that applied for the other company have already received their working visa and I am still left hanging.

Is there any implications with my two applications being selected in the lottery? Has any one experienced the same thing and could you please enlighten me.
