Oh, forgot to mention (if necessary): I have never been denied a visa before, or entry to the US at any point of my life. I have never overstayed in the U.S. and I mainly use the visa to travel to Europe or Asia (flying through the U.S. is sometimes cheaper) so I basically only stay for 1 day. I have travelled to the U.S. a couple of times during that 10 year period I have had my visa, but I've never stayed more than 3 weeks. I have never been convicted, had felonies of any sort of legal problems.
I've had visas since childhood. Until about 10 years old, and then I went without until I turned 17.

Hi,
I applied for DS-160 to renew my visa that was going to expire october 25th this year.
When I got my previous visa 10 years ago it was different than today and I was 17 so my dad filed all the documents in for me that time.
I went to my CAS appointment september 14th and delivered all my documents. I was told to check my account during these days to see the status of my visa application.
I'm a little nervous because today I realized I got the "Administrative Process" status but I was never called to make an appointment for an interview, or maybe I didn't realize? Last time I checked (before today, september 20th) was september 15th and the first status update I got was "Ready", but it said to wait to be called for interview (if necessary) to the embassy. Today the application says "Administrative Process" but I haven't been called and done no interview yet.
I'm lost here, I don't know if I missed something, did something wrong of this is a normal thing to happen.
Thanks for helping me out!
Confused about visa B1/B2 status

So is it a normal occurrence to get the "Administrative Process" tag for a tourist visa renewal even if I haven't been called to an interview?
