    Hi baby-pie,

Congrats! You're lucky one. May I ask if you had received any e-notification or if there was any update on your Check My Case BEFORE you found an approval notice in the mail? I have been checking my case online but there hasn't been any updates since the day I received the extension letter (Oct 2016).

    Thank you so much.

I don't check my case online. It caused me anxiety when I did it last time (AOS) so I decided never to check again ;)

Haha. No worries! I'm guesstimating your NOA date might have been around September 5th or 6th. If you ever dig up your notice / extension letter and find the date on there, let us know.

Congratulations again. Some people are receiving their 10y GC in the mail under 2 weeks after the approval notification. Hopefully will be that quick for you!

I just remembered that I had a notarized copy of the NOA in my wallet and you're right the date was September 6th.

I hope and pray that everyone gets approved quickly.

Also, I would like to ask if I can apply citizenship right now? or I need to wait after the condition remove?

I know I should ask this question in the other thread...

But... anyone knows if USCIS counts these 2 years into applying citizenship? Thanks!

    no you can't

" An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions. If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application "

    Hope that helps.

  4. I don't think that's normally what happens with waived interview cases. You were unfortunate. I had something similar happen with NVC during my CR-1 visa application. I had to wait about 3 months longer than everyone else to get my IV invoice because they forgot about me! Personally, I would love to have my interview waived because it's more time off work if I need to go.

good luck :) at least you are with the CA service center.

  5. you really do not want to have your interview waived. I had that happen to me with the AOS and they waived my interview and then forgot my case and never did anything with it. I had to contact my senator and he pushed my case through after almost 12 months!

and I always got an RFE so far, every single time. I just expect one this time. ;) and with Vermont I am screwed anyway, they haven't even approved all of the November 2015 cases yet. I am here for the very long haul

I did my biometrics yesterday, really fast, they didn't have anyone there. Now just waiting hoping for no RFEs.

I noticed that my bio appt has 2 receipts numbers.. is this true for everyone?

yes, I also have two but only one works.

  6. List updates:

    * Added new names of those posting here.

    * NOA1 dates updated on some.

Thanks! May I curiously ask why your check was so much higher than mine? you worry me!

Also, you are all freaking me out, I didn't send in any utility bills. My husband pays all the bills, I am terrible with money. :/

For all of you who hope for an interview waiver, DON'T! It's the worst thing that can happen to you. I got my interview waived for the AOS and then they never processed my file. After NINE months (!!!) I contacted the Georgia senator and then they finally pushed my file through in 5 hours. All the folks that had the interview were processed much quicker.

Is it true that the current processing time for Vermont people is over one year? That'd be hilarious because by that time I would be eligible to apply for citizenship which I plan to do. Will I need the 10 year GC for that?
