Hi,
I got my CR1 Visa, I still didnt make my first entry,on my DS-260 form I checked the box of obtainning SSN, I understand it takes 3 weeks and i might not receive it and i will have to go to the office to apply for one and it seem to me it's better to have not chose that box, since if i go after i arrive, it will take only 2 weeks and i will be sure i am getting one
I need my SSN before December 2016 and i can't stay in USA for more than 1 week on my first visit and my only purpose from the visit will be to get my SSN issued to apply for health insurance
My question is
1-if i stay for a week then travel outside USA,will my SSN still be issued in the 3 weeks time frame?
2-if my SSN didnt get issued, can i give my wife a copy of my passport,id,birth certificate and she can apply in the office or i have to be present, if she need my signature, can I go on my visit and sign the forms and only present it if my SSN didn't get issued in 3 weeks?
3-i still didnt make my first entry, i see that i can edit my DS-260, is it safe to just edit it to uncheck the box and then i can safely go to the office and apply for one myself?
4-what happens if i got 2 SSN, can i use anyone of them and just disable the other one when i move to USA,even if it will be a hassle, or only one would be valid?

I am going to live there starting from next year, but i can only apply for it in Nov, and its not good idea to live there while you don't have health insurance
Thanks,
