Hellow VJ friends. I currently hold a 10 years Green card (a permanent resident) I have a health concern, I am wondering if I can bring my Mother over  atleast for a month after I go through a surgery because I have no one to  be with after the procedure.

Any information how to go about it will be highly appreciated.

I am going through a situation whereby the Homeland Security & Immigration Service has requested for evidence, I provided more evidence earlier on but they say it is insufficient, now the problem is I am running out deadline time because I am looking for more evidence. Can I write to them asking for more time to get sufficient evidence? Will that affect my case if I don’t send evidence upon time given. I need phone plan bill records as a joint account with my ex wife, we had an account with t-mobile but she closed the account because it was very expensive for her and her brother when we separated, I don’t know how t -mobile is gonna help me with that but I believe it will be very useful info to send to Homeland security as an evidence.

I got a letter from U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services, saying the evidence I gave them that my marriage with the woman  that brought me to USA was of good faith, they want Bank joint account and things similar to that. The woman was the problem she was seeing her long time boy friend sometimes she brought him into the house, so we separated and divorced with her a month ago for the fear of my life, I stayed out of their way because the boy friend was capable of doing bad thing to me. I don’t knowhat to do, I am so confused. According to the letter,  if I don’t send more evidence they will deny my request to remove conditions. Any one who has been through a case like mine. I need advice.

Greetings wonderfully created people, I had a devorce hearing where we went for a DNA test, the next hearing is on April 2 but the woman doesn’t seem to be willing to go for the hearing, will I be granted the divorce without her presence and the DNA result? 

I am asking this because I believe someone out here may have gone through the same situation.

Thanks Mindthegap, since the extension letter has no expiration date can i still use it to renew my drivers license?

My 2 years green card expired, and was given a year extension while went through my biometrics. Now the one year extension period is expiring tomorrow 3/13/2013 this means my drivers license is expiring the same date. I don’t know who to contact. In the past years they sent them to my mailbox on time.

Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, I am curious to know what’s next after a biometrics appointment, I heard that the next thing is the interview. I wish to know what should I expect at the interview and how long does it take to be called in for the interview, does it take the whole year? Because I went there in April last year and haven’t heard anything from them eversince.

Please help a layman in curiosity

Thank you friends for all your good infomation about my case, but I became hesitant about filling for a divorce for 2 reasons

(1). Some people told me to do away with divorce filling because women in American have all the rights and are more listened than men, and that she may turn the story around despite all she put me through. She can make it even harder for me if she says I am the one who left her.

(2). I was seeking divorce lawyers but prices got me think again, I came across one lawyer who wants $250 per hour.

Any advise on cheap and best devorce filling law farms around Columbus Ohio?

Thank you very much for your quick reply, but how long does devorce take? Remember I am only left with 6 moons before my 2 years anniversary which happens to be my GC expiration date.

I am very new in this forum, but terribly need advise from you guys visa journey gurus out there.

I came to the US to join my lovely wife who happen to be a US Citizen. We married in 2013 in very honest good faith in the name of starting family together upon my arrival here, abroad she came back to process my visa, I came into US roughly mid march last year under a 2 years probation GC, sadly my wife has been living a double life, I noticed something wasn't right in earlier last year when I got here.

I suspected she was seeing an American boyfriend, one day GOD brought things from the dark to my attention, the boy friend came and left a note saying "i should not ask her where she has been"

I asked her why did she married me and make me come here if there was someone she was interested, that was just the beginning of the drama, she started going out wildly of which at first she told me, then changed into not telling me, spent 24hours without coming home, she talked to me angrily with attitude, one day the boy friend texted asking me ''are you happy?" I had access to my wife's cell phone, so I came across text mgs of him telling her he feels used and will repay.

But according to what my wife told me about this dude was he wasn't a good man and is capable of doing anything bad either to me or her.

I never mate this dude before only one day when I was at work he texts cursing me and threatening me, I got home from work and found the dude in the apartment with my wife in the sitting room on separate seats.

I had to leave the house in fear for my life, we are are separated currently. I went a very hard time during winter since it has been my first winter experience, I had to move in to our wedding matron to survive or else I wouldn't have no where to go.

I have 6 months remaining to remove condition but I wish not to ask for her help for I don't wanna pretend like we are still living together because She has caused me enough pain. I wanted to go back to my country and start a fresh, but she suggested I stay, because she refused to devorce me saying she is still looking if things work, but has been living with her boy friend ever since, she even hid my green card but gave it back to me after realizing how hard my life would be without it.

And last but not least, my income is so small that I cant PAY an immigration lawyer to help me on what to do, if I go back home it is going to be extremely hard for me because I lost my beautiful job just to join her here.
