  1. The forms will be there in plenty of time for you to complete them before the interview.

When I spoke to the embassy they told me that they do not schedule the interview until you have returned the completed checklist from the packet 3... So first you wait for the Packet 3, then you complete the packet 3 and send in the completed checklist, then 6 to 8 weeks later they schedule your interview.

    That is my understanding.

  2. I will assume that comment was made in support, since this is a forum where we are supposed to be helping one another.

My husband left the US because his father was admitted into Cardiac Intensive Care. At the time he also had his P-1 Visa pending, because his lawyer erroneously re-applied for the P-1...which, we were informed during his interview with the US Embassy, is not valid after one has married an American citizen.

I am looking for any help or support that might be available, and would appreciate replies to that nature.

    Thank you.

  3. Hello everyone. On the US Embassy website for BA, at website address http://argentina.usembassy.gov/faqs4.html#b

The website states ¨You may begin to apply for the fiance(é) visa before the approval of your petition by requesting from this office a packet of forms and instructions referred to as "packet 3". ¨

I wrote to the Embassy to request a "Packet 3" be delivered to my husband in Argentina.

First they wrote back saying they can not send the pkt 3 until the case arrives. The documents have certain validity and may be expired the date of case arrive.¨ They also told me it takes between 6 and 8 weeks fo the appointment AFTER they recieve all of the documents from the packet 3. We are talking MONTHS between the time the visa number is approved, and the time he can come into the country.

I wrote back to them referring to the website instructions, and recieved this email. ¨Those instructions changed and we are not able to send you the information before the case is here. We are updating the web page.¨

I know everyone has a sad story- but my husband was in the US on a P-1 visa for the last five years, where he built his business...now he has been out of the country for 4 months and is on the verge of losing his business if he can´t be in by January.

We are desperate and I am just wondering what we can do to get ahold of the packet 3 information and the checklist to get started on it before our I-129F information has been sent to the Embassy.

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  5. :help:

Hi, I am new here. I sent in my I-130 to Texas on June 13th. I received my "Receipt Notice" on July 17th. So I took my number and created an account with USCIS and have an account and everything. But it doesnt tell me jack... just that they recieved my I-130 on July 12th. But I see many posts here that seem to know more about what is going on with their cases. Is there somewhere on the USCIS where I can see what they are doing with my particular case? such as "touched"? etc? Or have they just not DONE anything with my case yet, therefore there isn't any more information?

    Thanks for the help!
