  1. Davenot my husband and primary sponsor does not meet the financial standing to be my sponsor, while struggling with his freelance job. We've mailed the financial documents and application for the sponsor 30 days ago, but haven't received any information from USCIS about accepting the documents, other than receiving them. What I am kindly asking by this community is a job offer template in order to assist my employers that are unfamiliar with this process.

  2. Hello,

I am writing to kindly ask for advice in applying to expedite my EAD.

I've already contacted USCIS and began the process. I received an email that requests additional information to submitted through fax in order to prove financial hardship.

My husband is a freelancer and doesn't have a steady income, in addition bills (Tax bills, credit card bills, and my college bills) have pilled up since I cannot contribute financially. Also my husband's adjusted income is under the poverty line and we had to submit a new form for a joint sponsor.

I was wondering if anyone has cover letters to help us compose our own and a list of documents that we need to fax.

    Thank you.

  4. Hell CapT,

It is unfortunate that the documents, on both of our cases, were returned.

I am not sure what was the issue on my case, what I could observe, by looking closely on the I-130 we mailed initially was that the correct form (when viewed digitally) includes a barcode. Once that form was printed the barcode was cut off. I would recommend you check the bottom, and the top of the page of the forms, when you print them out. That's how we followed up: reprinted the form, made sure that non of the page was cut off and mailed the package back.

I hope my response is helpful.

    Best luck to you!

  5. Hello everybody,

    I really need your help.

Brian and I got married this June and decided to concurrently for my adjustment of status.

I have been an F-1 Student for three years and my status is valid, I am attending school this semester and I am meeting all the requirements.

We mailed the package with the forms and all of the required documents that are required on 9-28-16.

It was received on the 9-30-16.

We didn't receive any confirmation via email or text and the checks didn't get cashed.

Instead we received a Form I-797C Notice of Action - Rejection Notice that states: The application/petition was filled on an outdated version of this form. Please resubmit your application/petition on the current version of this form with the appropriate fees to the address listed on the bottom of this page.

All of our documents are stapled together in random order and the binders and envelope we used to mail the petition are not returned.

Also, all of the documents have numbers printed on the bottom page.

In addition, the other forms (I-485, I-765, G-1145) are signed and have a long line on them.

Lastly the checks have a stamped U.S. Department of Homeland Security Citizenship and Immigration Services.

Needless to say this is very upsetting.

We downloaded the form on the USCIS website, and after checking it again today the form on the right top corner states that it expires on 12-31-2015.

I have two questions, the first is time sensitive, can we mail all of the documents back as they are or do we have to print them again?

And is form I-130 up-to-date even if it states it expires 12-31-2015?
