    How long does it typically take to get approval?

    Hi, I am a US citizen. I recently married a man who is a citizen of the Dominican Republic, we married last week in the DR. Now I am back home in Georgia, (United States) and he is still there in DR. I have no clue on what we have to do to get a VISA for him to join me here in Georgia. I hear it takes a very long time and it is very expensive. Can anyone shed some light on what I need to do and what to expect. Much appreciation. - Destiny
