I have a question. Here it goes.
My mom was a fiancee before from the Philippines. So, we were petitioned under K1 visa and K2 visa. It was March 19, 2006 when we got here in America. I was only 13 years old. My mom got here conditional greencard on 2007. I didnt receive no greencard or anything as I know I was under my mom's petitions. After 2 years of marriage (2008) my mom and my step dad decided to get divorced.
Before they were divorced, my papers were kinda neglected in a way by my stepfather. There was a missing document that should have been submitted as it was required. I stayed in america for 4 years and 6 months before returning back to philippines because the attorney we that talk to told us that I should go back to Philippines and my mom will repetition for me as she was able to do Self-petition for herself. So , in 2011 she filed for a petition for me and my two siblings who were 18 yrs old and 16 yrs old. in 2012 my mom became a US citizen. By April 9, 2013 we arrived in america.. As I was studying in PHilippines that time I had to keep going back to Finish my Nursing School.. anyways, now I am back in America for good. I want to know if: They could count the 4 yrs and 6 months I stayed in america before so I can apply for my citizenship.
Thank you. I hope someone will answer my question. Its kinda confusing now for me because I have always wanted to be a US citizen and now everything is just not working out. I feel like I wasted those 4 yrs and 6months for nothing.
