  1. You have an approved ESTA, why are you worrying?

Probably because I've read way too many posts about how mean US immigration can get, and because ESTA doesn't guarantee entry... Googling for more than 3 hours doesn't help haha.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease ;)

  2. Hello everyone!

I just have a quick question - but let me tell you my life story first:

Back in 2003, my mum applied for a B2 visa but was denied it on the basis of 'insufficient documentation' (I'm a Korean citizen, with an indefinite leave to remain, residing in the UK) - I was 11 at the time meaning that any decision made for my mum would, unfortunately, apply to me. I completely overlooked this on my initial ESTA application, which was approved. I then re-applied stating 'YES' to the question regarding previous visa rejections last night and this re-application was also authorised.

Fast-forward to 2016, I'm leaving for NY on Saturday with my new ESTA application approved. I have my ILR, return ticket and a letter of confirmation from my employer (a large, global media company) that I am expected back at work by 26th September (I leave NY on the 23rd), as well as the fact that I put this down on my ESTA application.

How difficult will it be for me to enter the US, providing that I have proof of my 'link to the UK' and the fact that the visa denial was completely out of my control as I was underage at the time? I've heard mixed reviews about border control in the US (I've read 2 examples of where people managed to get in on the ESTA despite B2 denial) so I really don't know what to expect.

    Thank you!!
