  1. Just got my interview date ? Now I'm nervous how on earth am I going to ensure the babies behave for that long

I see you had an expidite at the NVC. I have one as well but an emergency didnt come ip until we were already at 8 weeks processing. So our case was sent straight to the consulate and they have it since Friday afternoon. In your experience how long after they received your case at the consulate did you receive your interview date?

  2. Finally case complete!!! Kinda. I just wanted to at least say it hehe. Our case was sent to the consulate in Peru today. The status says in transit but no 3 N/A's. Either way I am beyond grateful that the consulate is accepting our missing certs which were judiciary and penalty records. We would have been approved at 8 weeks and 4 days. Ugh what a long anoyhing journey that was at the NVC I cannot imagine having to wait another 8 weeks for approval. Hopfully we'll get a December interview!

  3. Great news! So we're at 9 weeks. At 8 weeks and 4 days we got a checklist for judiciary records which we had no idea we had to send. We thought they wanted them at the interview. I asked over the phone if they could just send our case and we bring certs to the interview. They said we'd have to ask the consulate. I sent our request right away meanwhile preparing to send the certs to NVC right away. THE CONSULATE SAID YES! that we could just being the certs to the interview. Since we're already approved for an expidite im assuming that means theyll send pur case today. On hold with NVC now.

  4. Yeah exactly. They could at least tell us why we are still not geting reviewed, while other people with later scan date are getting CC.

I had this same issue and got an exact answer from a rep. Its not first come first serve. The review department is split into teams the work together to review a region of the world. Some regions simply are more backed up than others. Each team has a supervisor that are also more backed up than others. The reps that answer calls are in a different department all together. If you want to know more or less where they are look for a recent CC for someone from the same country as you.

  5. I guess your case is similar to mine.. i was approved expedite but asksed to wait to review documents. Did u receive any email stating that " Your country embassy is willing to expedite yoir case after receiving documents and fees" ? In that case, you still have to wait for your case complete but the moment your case is completed they will send your file same day to your embassy. So the only privilege you have is to get earliest interview date.. As per NVC, some embassies only accept expedite case once case is comepleted like mine.. new delhi

Thank you. That does give me peace of mind that im not crazy.thats the exact email I got.

  6. Today is 8 weeks since our September 12th scan date. October 25th supervisor review. Last week they sent our ds260 to another supervisor to review. Im starting to lose hope haha. It helps to know that the NVC is split up into teams to work on certain regions of the world. Whats not helpful is that no one on these forums is from peru or even south america. I have no idea when they might get to our case. Fingers crossed anyhow and my husband had a dream it was approved today so we'll see!

Anyone with a scan date in November check out this forum! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/613134-nvc-scan-date-augustseptember-2016/page-6#entry8362419

  7. Checking in here, as well as the NVC November thread.

    Just received CC today!!! :) :) :)

    Scan Date September 19th

    Supervisor Review Nov 1st

    Congrats!!

    Hello,

My scan date is August 10th and I just spoke with customer service rep. He said that the Nebraska center is back dated to April 2nd due to that incident that occurred where hundreds of people got applications approved by mistake. Now they are having to correct those mistakes and they are months behind.

Are you talking about USCIS or NVC?

  8. Still no CC. Monday makes 8 weeks. The only other peron I have found from Peru or even from south america with the similar timeline was approved after 9 weeks so I have to be patient. The only thing i was thinkin of was calling to see if they can move my case to a different supervisor that doesnt have a hsavy work load but what are the chances they know their work load and that theyd be able to move it. I also was in call back to have a supervisor call me but i have an international number and im sure they couldnt call.

  9. More updates! good and bad news. Good news is Expidite approved! The bad news is the email also said so send me missing documents and fees. I spoke to 2 different people and got the same answer. They have all my documents BUT my mail and DS260 have not been reveiwed yet. So.. the expidite esencially means nothing for the NVC but it does help us get a faster interview which I'm extremely thankful for as theyre already booking mid December. The second rep did tell me she sent my DS260 for review to another supervisor because "it helps to have two supervisors on your case? Then she said call back next week to see what the status is. Not very exciting being that it's 8 weeks next week. but I'm thankful for the expidite I know its not easy to get.

  10. After calling the NVC for the second time today i got a wonderful man on the phone who answered my questions for 20 minutes! I found out some great info! I now know why some receive cc before others even if they have a later scan date. All of the countries are split up into teams. Some teams receive more applications because those regions have more intenting imigrants. In general theyre all backed up but it explains a lot. Each team has a supervisor. Some supervisors are able to get to applications right away and some are loaded with work. They said it hardly ever takes 6 weeks for supervisor to review it but it still depends on how much work they have. I got a confirmation email on my expidite request so my fingers are crossed for that.

  11. Sorry to hear you don't have any news yet. Ours was approved on the 9th week (from 2nd scan)..15 weeks total.. :ranting: but at least it looks like they are working faster now.

I don't know if will be useful but this is Lima's contact email: LimaIV@state.gov I contacted them a few weeks ago and they replied within a day. I emailed here: LimaIVSchedule@state.gov for the early appointment request. The worst could be a NO, right? :)

Hearing that 9 weeks is even a possibility makes me want to call 10,000 times today and demand it be looked at. Trying to stay cool haha. I actually emailed the schedule email 2 weeks ago and no reaponse. Im scouring the internet for a phone number but I doubt Ill find one.
