I hope I can get an answer from someone here who has been through the same process. So my husband had his interview in Islamabad on the 13th of December but unfortunately he forgot our original marriage certificate(nikkah nama). So they asked him to send that and then they will issue the visa. He sent that on the 20th of December. It's the 20th of January and we still haven't heard from them. Was anyone else required to send documents to the embassy? Do you know how long it takes? I didn't get a proper answer from nvc when I called last time. All they said was that it can take up to a couple weeks. Should I call them again? Thank you

The most recent tax transcript is the year when you worked. If you havent work then just send them the letter stating the reason why you didn't work. If you haven't work then you must have the joint sponsor, and send his w2s and irs tax transcript. I dint work in 2013 and i wrote a letter why i didn't file the tax for that year.

Thank you yeah I have a joint sponser and I've never had a job so I just write a letter stating that.

Hi everyone, I hope I can get a reply from someone here because my call is not going through nvc. So my husband had his interview yesterday and they want me to send my IRS tax returns (the petitioner which is me) for the recent year and a letter why I didn't pay my taxes. I clearly stated in the application that I'm a student and I don't work. That's the reason why I have an affidavit of support. Why would they say that when they know I'm not working? I'm trying to call them but I can't get a hold of them. Did anyone have any similar issue?

I have a quick question. What is a scan date and how do I get that? I sent all my civil and financial documents to nvc on the 18th of August. Should I call and ask them if they have received them or should I just wait?
