  1. (Response from my fiance in uk)

I got my NVC number last week and haven't had anything sent to me from NVC or embassy yet, but I have completed everything and booked my medical and interview.

Good that you have police and birth certificate already. Make sure you also get the affidavit of support with supporting documents and an new letter of intent from the USC. Also make sure you have UK + USA sized passport pictures . You also need vaccination history from your GP to take to the medical, they should supply this if you just ask, make sure the Dr or Nurse sign and date it.

You can schedule the medical now you have the LND number, call up knightsbridge centre (020 7486 7822) they are open Mon-Fri 9-5. They will ask a few questions like- Name, DOB, phone+email, LND case number, date you want medical (isn't a long wait time about 7-10 days).

http://www.visamedicals.info/us-bring.asp - Knightsbridge website has all the info

I then filled out my DS-160 and submitted it online. You will need a USA passport picture for this. https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

After that you can fill out your notification of readiness form and submit that too, https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/iv-notification-of-app-readiness/

After that you can register, pay the visa fee (£204) and courier fees (£18). Then book your interview, there are dates available at the moment from 28th October. https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/niv

Print out all the confirmations and receipts from the online forms to take to your embassy interview.

    Any problems just message me.

Hi Tieary, what do you mean by 'new letter of intent from the USC'..?

    Thank you! Helps so much!
  3. Sounds like you're on the right track. I'd schedule your medical first, however, to ensure you choose a date for the interview after the medical. And keep in mind that it apparently takes 5 business days for the medical exam results to be couriered to the embassy. You don't need to do anything with the NVC since you've already received your case number. Any payment at this point goes to the embassy for the actual visa.

Others will have to remark on how they scheduled their interviews and paid. I know it's on the embassy site, but anything specific... well... my fiance and I aren't at that point yet. Soon, though! Good luck!

    Thank you so much!
  4. I believe it's only needed if your visa type requires you to fill out the DS-260, instead of the DS-160 for K1 filers.

I'm kind of confused with the process...I'm not sure how to do the following steps towards my visa. I've got police certificates, birth certificate, LDN case number- I'm about to do DS-160, submit it and pay the fee on USA embassy website in London. Schedule my interview. Schedule my medical exam as well. Is it the correct way? Do I have to do things on NVC website and process all documents and pay before they forward my case to the embassy?im not sure how it works...I don't have a letter from NVC yet..please let me know how you got your interview and how you paid the visa fee and on which website. Thank you so much!
  5. September 14th - NVC Received and case # assigned

September 19th - NVC Packet In Transit, expected to arrive tomorrow.

We also have submitted all the forms and booked our medical and interview.

    Medical Appointment - September 29th

    Interview Appointment - October 26th

So just a heads up to you guys from London.

Medical appointments aren't backed up at all.

They still have times for October 28th, and 31st. Almost all days in November are available.

Expect an interview about 5-6 weeks out from when you book!

If you have any questions feel free to ask and good luck!

I found out my LDN case number over the phone and the lady supplied me with an invoice number. What's that for? Let me know if you can
  6. Hey everyone! Sorry I have been away from the forum. I have been trying to get my mind off the application so I have only been periodically checking out progress to help keep my emotions in check.

I just wanted to give a huge congratulations to everyone that has been recently approved. It seems to have been a pretty slow last few days with USCIS which sucks. I hope the rest of us waiting in July start getting more approvals soon! Especially you guys at the beginning of the month!!!!

I am just now starting to break at the waiting, but I am doing my best to remain positive! I just keep reminding myself that none of us are part of the Texas backlog that took over a year to get approved!!! We will make it through!!!

I wish everyone luck and I hope we get more approvals this week's since last week seemed slow!

I got my NOA1 on the 15th of July, NOA2 on the 6th of sep. Your turn is either this week or next! I had my forms processed in California. Hopefully I'll get my medical test at the beginning of October and (fingers crossed) interview in November. I'm waiting for my LDN reference number when the file is on its way to American embassy in London. We should chat more often to see what has to be done before the interview...!

  7. hi! i'm so glad to see good news! i'm so worried that i won't be able to get all paperwork sorted..i had my NOA1 on the 15th of July, NOA2 on the 6th Sep. i'm about to get my Police Certificate so i will be waiting until i get LDN case number and get med test.

I also need to ask about the medical exam. i don't have vaccination records - i listed them to my GP. I hope he will be able to write an immunization report? i'm about to get a flu jab this week. Do they CHECK everything? I need to find out how quickly you had that sorted? i'm also about to give my notice to my work just when i got my interview date. Do you think it could be not authorized for some reason? (i'm sorry for so many question!!!)

  8. Congrats to all the recently approved!!! I get excited and hope that everytime I see a July filer approved it's one of us!!!

I hope everyone has a great long weekend! I hope the rest of us still waiting hear some news soon! Fingers crossed!

We got NOA1 on the 15th of July...we are still waiting for the second letter (or request of evidence)...but our day is not really moving forward in California...I'm based in UK. I'm already planning to put a plan for embassy paperwork etc...so many things to do! I wish you all to be lucky this week! And hopefully UK cases will be approved soon!
