  1. Hi!

Last wednesday April 5th we mailed off my I-485, I-765, and I-131, but now reading over some of these forums I think we may not have included enough photos or copies of my passport, as we only included two of each.

Will we receieve an RFE for this or have the opportunity to provide them at the biometrics appointment?  Is it possible to send them in once we have received our case number with our NOA to avoid a potential RFE?

    Thanks in Advance

  2. Hi, I just thought I'd post what we have prepared for our K1 interview on Feb 1 and see if anyone could spot anything that we may be missing.

Adoption decrees, marriage certificates, military records, court records, and death/divorce decrees do not apply to our case.  Below is what we have so far :)

    Appointment confirmation letter

    DS160 confirmation barcode page

Long form BC birth certificate + copy

Police Certificate (mine includes fingerprints and I'm not sure if this is required?)

Petitioner's completed I134 with IRS tax return, pay stubs, and letter of employment

Co-sponsor's completed I134 with IRS tax return, pay stubs, and letter of employment

Evidence of relationship including hotel receipts, ferry tickets, photos, other misc. receipts.

    Two US style passport photos

Letters of intent to marry from petitioner and beneficiary that we will sign and date when my fiance comes up for trip to Montreal :)

Photocopy of entire original I129 package (maybe unnecessary?)

    Returned copy of approved I129

    Our hardcopy NOA2

If we are missing anything or if anything is completely unnecessary we would definitely appreciate the help! Thanks <3

  3. So I just scheduled my K1 visa appointment in Montreal for February 1st, and I was wondering about how many extra days we would be required to stay in Montreal to pick up my visa and passport rather than having them mailed to me? My fiance will be coming with me to Montreal and normally we would fly back to Vancouver and I would drive him over the border, but with the consulate holding my passport this is not possible. Perhaps we can make a mini-vacation in Montreal out of the ordeal :)

  4. Hello,

My fiancé makes slightly more than the minimum required income threshold for 2 dependents, but I've read that Montreal can be fickle with requiring consponsors, so we will also be using a coaponsor.

However, while we do have letters of employment, recent pay stubs, and my fiancé's tax return, our cosponsor's tax return is unavailable. Could this cause problems if a consponsor is even requested?

    Thanks in advance

  5. The packet 3 instructions form from the Montreal Consulate website explicitly states to email the DS160 confirmation page, photocopy of passport, and checklist, however, I have read guides that suggest that they be snail mailed. Are these guides just out of date or can it be done either way?
