  3. My Fiance arrive here on July 9th this year. We were married On august 23rd. I have some questions for the AOS. When we fill out the paperwork do we use my last name for the family name, or her old last name? Also what does the A# mean? Do we apply for a social securtiy number before we do this paperwork, or after we start this? I have had people tell me many different things, so i figure id would come here to ask the experts. I thnak you all for the response in advance, hope everyone is doing well here.

  5. hello all,

My fiance is in tacloban, philippines right now, she received her letter from the embassy saying to call and schedule an appointment for her interview. SHe has already went to ceb and passed the cenomar with the nuns. She just informed me that she has not been able to get thru to the embassy using the telephone number they sent with the paper. She has trie using different sim cards and different cell providers, even used a pay phone. But no luck. So my question is will i have to call the embassy myself to schedule an interview? Or is there another way to do it?

Any help would be much appreciated, hope everybody is enjoying the weeknd.

Hope to have Jenny here in illinois by August (hopefully sooner).

    Thanks

    Blake

  6. WEll thanks for the answers to the question. I am planning on writing a letter, and print one out to. Then get them notorized. And my mother said she would write one also, (casue who would no more if im single than good ol dear mom). Jenny called the cfo in cebu and they said for her to have me get a singles document notorized from a lawyer here. So i was very confused, since theres no documents like that here. But i figure better safe than sorry.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Hope to have jenny here by august of 08. Cant wait.

  7. Hello to all, I have a quick question to ask. My finace thinks 1 thing i think the other.

She has received letter stating to call the number to schedule the appt for interview. So She is planning on going to cebu for the cfo seminar first.

She told me she wants to go to Cebu for ccfo seminar this friday.

    Heres my question?

She says i have to have a signed document from a lawyer saying that i am legally single, and to have it notorized, then to scan it an email it to her??? I have never heard of such a thing before. So is it true, and if it was you think they would need to have the oiginal document in hand and not a scanned copy??

My plan was to just email her and state the date, that i want to marry her, and that i am legally single.

Any help would be much appreciated. Everyone here has been so helpfull in the past.

Hoping to have her here with me stateside by august. In central illinois, anyone from the peoria area send me a message also..

  10. Wow- thanks for all the information everyone. I guess i should start telling her to get all her info ready, like birth certificate, all i.d's, etc. I will jsut get online and print all the I-239f, and G-325 and bring it with me, so we wont have to get online there and fill it out (especially with all the brown-outs). Well hopefully my process will go great and i wont mess up to much informaion (i mess up filling out paperwork at work).

And thanks again to all that replied to my message. Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

  11. I am going to visit my future wife in the philippines here very soon. I was wondering do i send the I-29f form in first before i go or when i get back? I no i need to bring like 5 copies of the G-325 bio info forms for her to fill out. I tried to find the info on usgov.org but nothing. Maybe someone who has went through before can answer my question. Thanks in advance.....
