We have a 12 hour difference, we both work, but we talk multiple times daily through, Whatsapp, Skype and Direct Phone. I am his morning alarm, I go through Teamviewer in his computer and wake him up everyday. We do exercise together. We order food together. He is always with me on Skype whatever I do . This is funny but even when he sleeps he has a habbit to just connect Skype and keep it connected. We have been in relationship for three years, and married one year. We do not connect very rarely only when we have a fight. That also cannot be longer than three four days.

For Op, Try to buy some calling cards and call her directly from your cellphone. I sometimes use Rebtel, when there is no internet. For what have already passed, When I was collecting proof, because I cannot give thousands and thousands of pages, I took randomly proof for only one day every month. You can do it too. Collect whatever communication you had with her. and submit or take to interview. take all the gifts you sent to her, give details of all the cash you sent, any type of financial mingling. hotel stays, activities together. Anything that you do for her would work.

Best Of Luck...... I am curious about the relationship though. Looks like not very connected.

You just described our relationship exactly! We wake each other up, eat together, leave the connection going while we sleep.... 💞

Hi guys, hope all is well.

    I have 2 questions:

    1.  I have received my NOA 2 about more than a week already but when I check the status online through USCIS, it still indicate the 1st notice of the date I submitted my paperwork.  I'm wondering if I can check it somewhere else to see the status of when it sends my file to Vietnam?

    2.  What should I expect from this point on or what do you guys recommend me do at this point?  In the case I need to request a soft copy of the NOA3 online, how can I do that?

Please help.  Thank you so much

I received my NOA 2 letter in the  mail the day before I got the email and text notice.. Also it took almost 2 months to reflect on the uscis website. I received 2 additional emails after the NOA 2 email with links to NVC website to choose agent and pay AOS/Visa  bill 2 days later. I did not get a text message along with email from NVC like I did with USCIS so make sure you are checking your email on the daily. :D

    Hey All,

I filed for my wife in June 2017 with a PD in early June. My case is at Potomac Service Center. I’m a US citizen. I have a question about what I sent in. To prove that I am a US citizen, I sent photocopy of my US passport pages and signature showing my picture, name, and other information. I didn’t send ALL the pages in, just the biographic page. I’m reading on this site that I should have sent ALL pages. Has anyone done the same as me and only sent in the biographic page? How did that go? I’m wondering if I will get an RFE because of this. Everything else I sent in was good, from my review. I received NOA1 June 15 and I haven’t heard anything since then.

    Thanks

I sent a copy of just the bio page as well as a copy of my birth certificate and had no problems

Then one of those times you must have seen the instruction to count all unmarried children under 21 no matter where they live.

My mistake, I should have specified what I was unclear on:

“Dependent children” means all your unmarried children under age 21, even if you don’t have custody of them. “You may exclude any who have reached majority under the law of their place of domicile” if “you do not claim them as dependents on your Federal income tax returns.”

Yes, unless the mother has a legal document giving her sole custody and a certified copy thereof.  Generally, this is needed even to get a passport for a child.

The Philippines is the only country of which I'm aware where the father of illegitimate children has no parental rights.  But a court in any country can grant full custody to one parent.  For some countries, even that doesn't take away parental rights.  You need a Vietnam specific answer to this question.

2 months ago she was able to get passports for both of them no problem. Maybe that says something, maybe it doesn't... Thank You for your insight. 😊

  6. CR1/January 2017 filler-

Submitted with all required documents including the biometric forms (1 for myself and 1 for my wife along with passport sized photos of each of us and a payment in the form of a personal check for processing). These 2 documents were on top of the stack of the other REQUIRED documents I had assembled and sent in.

The check was cashed 2 weeks later and I received my noa1 stating all correct forms had been recieved and were sent for processing...

6 months after Noa1, I received an RFE for the biometric form for my wife... Resent the same form and now 3 months later I got my noa2... YAY!

  7. I ran into the same issue when getting my documents together to get married in Vietnam, MAKE SURE you have every document requested... I emailed and called all 3 Embassy's and was given $350.00 - $750.00. I ended up sending in my documents to the Washington D.C. Embassy because they quoted me the $350.00 by phone and email. 3 weeks after I overnight shipped the documents for them to certify I called to ask why I had not received them back since the check had been cashed... They told me since I was divorced and since I was a "white american citizen" I would need to pay $50.00 additional. I told the Embassy person that I had an Email from them quoting the price of "$350.00", also included in said email was my age, marital status, race, sex... after about 1 hour on the phone she reluctantly agreed to process our documents at no additional charge after I sent them the email they had sent me..... I had my papers 2 days later and $50.00 richer!

Hi everyone. I am a US citizen. I am filing I-130 to bring my wife and her two children to America from a foreign country. After reading some materials, I am so confused about how to file I-130 for my wife and her children. Can anyone please help me out of these questions: Do I need to file separate form I-130 for my wife and for each of her children, or only one form I-130 for three of them? If filing separately, do I have to pay separate I-130 fee? And when mailing, do I have to mail in separate envelope for each I-130 or in the same envelope for all three I-130? It looks like I am so dump with these question, but they really bite me.

Thank you very for all your help.

Separate checks in the amount $535.00 for each I-130, also don't forget to include the separate g325a biographic forms and passport size photos (1 for your wife & 1 for yourself). Children do not need the g325a, only you and your wife.

  9. Hi,

I am in the same situation. My husband filed a petition for me and my daughter (12). This petition is way easier to file.

Each child need their own petition and has to include following documents:

    -Proof of citzienship (petitioner)

    -childs birth certificate

    -marriage certificate

-any divore decree (if one of you were married married before)

The fees are the same as for your spouse petition.

Only AOS filing fee is one fee for all of your petitions as i found out.

Make copies of all the paperwork..the originals have to be taken to the interview. Only the form I-130 needs to be the original.

You don't need the Form G-345 for your stepchildren nor proof of bona fide marriage for their petition..

You don't need the Form G-345 for your stepchildren nor proof of bona fide marriage for their petition..

You don't need the Form G-345 for your stepchildren nor proof of bona fide marriage for their petition..

Thank you for the great information! I have made high resolution photocopies of everything and was planning on sending everything I listed in with the i-130 petitions... This is my 2nd marriage and her first marriage. I have 2 types of certified divorce decrees, a "short hand" version (1 summarized/certified with judges signature and state seal) decree as well as a 60 page full divorce decree. I was going to just send both of them in but I don't want to go overboard. what do you think?

  10. Hello all, this is my first post on Visa-journey after countless hours reading all the great information here I want to make sure I have everything I need for my I-130 petition for my wife and 2 stepchildren.

My wife and I were married Oct 7th of this year (2016) in HCMC Vietnam; We have not lived together nor do we have joint bank accounts or property...

    We do have:

Her listed as my Primary beneficiary for my life insurance.

Receipts for wedding reception expenses/Rings/Food/MC/DJ/Photographer/Tux & Wedding Dress/Bus tickets/Hotel/Airplane Boarding passes.

    Email logs.

    Chat logs.

    Skype logs.

    Facebook posts.

Photos of us with her family on several occasions including our wedding.

Photos and receipts from trips we took together (just the 2 of us)

Photos and receipts from trips we took together with her 2 children / my 2 step daughters.

We also have Certified/Translated copies of the following:

    Marriage Certificate

    Birth Certificates

    Certificate of Criminal Records

    Household Registrar

    Passport sized photos

I have filled out (3) I-130 petitions, one each for my wife and 2 stepdaughters (4 years old and 2 years old).

I have also filled out 2 G-325A Bigraphic Information forms; One for myself and one for my wife.

Do I need to file a G-325A for my stepdaughters as well?

What about fees for my step children?

Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
