Perhaps add in some more chat log screen shots to show continuing ongoing relationship.

Were there other trips to visit each other made? If so add in all that information, airline tickets, passport stamps, ect..

Add in some photos(especially is any were new since the I-129F)

Is the USC providing W2's or tax transcripts? Usually they want to see that also (if available that is)

    Hi thanks for the reply

yeah the Skype screenshots are what I am adding to show ongoing relationship.

He can bring all his passport stamps, airlines tickets etc to the interview too I will note that, though we did include this in the I-129F, should I send over copies of my (USC) US passport stamps?.... we have not visited each other since we sent away the I-129F?

He did buy me a flight to come and see him in 2 months as a part of my Christmas presents from him, should he take that too?

In terms of Tax transcripts my 2016 transcript is not ready because I need to collect W2's from my other employers and they have until April to do this, I provided him with my 2015 tax transcript which is poor as I was working part time and not FT so I did not make much.

Though I assumed they were not needed as this is the I-134 form and not the I-864, I thought employment letter and paystubs would suffice?

    Hello everyone,

I had my K1 visa interview yesterday in London and was approved, YAY!!, but today I awoke to find an email from LNDIVSubmissions@state.gov telling me they were ready to print my visa however they will need me to scan and email a copy of my approved I129F petition to them at that address.

    I'm confused.

They sent me the approved I129F, why don't they have a copy on file?. I had it with me at the interview but no one asked for it. After searching I can't find another instance of anyone being asked this. Am I being paranoid?. I don't want to hold up my visa being sent it just seems odd.

    Anyone else get asked this?

    Thank you

    Dave

Congrats on the approval, what was your interview like...are you going to write a review?

    1) Yeah it's 2 5x5 photos (I guess, I think? I asked CVS for passport photos and thats what they gave me) that are on the same sheet that haven't been cut up

    2) Yeah I've heard London are OK with the employment letter and the pay slip (I have our co sponsors latest)

    3) Yeah, maybe I'll take some evidence - not too much though. I've heard London don't really want to see evidence of an ongoing relationship

Absolutely do you have a review of your interview? How long did it last?

    1. Do you mean you have multiple 5x5 photos that haven't been cut up yet? I took my photos without them being cut up, it isn't a problem. They just scan them in front of you and hand them back. They also have photo booths inside the embassy in case they are not correct (or they will let you out and go to Gould's pharmacy down the road).

    2. My interview was December 21st and all they asked for was my fiancees last pay slip showing how much she has earned to date. I also took with me her 2015 W2 and last four pay slips. A letter and last pay slip should suffice based on what I was asked to present as evidence.

    3. I did take evidence but was asked to show none of it. I guess this was done at the I-129F stage but it doesn't hurt to take some with you - I took the receipt from the engagement ring as proof. They seem to just ask how you met and what your plans are, it's easy. The fact you were in America last week kinda indicates you're still in a relationship.

    Good luck, you'll be fine!

Adam what you have seems correct I believe the payslips and employer letter is all that is needed with regards to evidence for the affadivit of support. Can you please submit a review of your interview as your medical review was very detailed and useful. My fiancé has his interview next week!

  5. In terms of the I-134 is it required to be filled in CAPS?

I filled it out already and sent it away to my fiance, but looking back I did not type it in caps but just regular format and signed?

I noticed the example was like this so opted for this

    Appreciate all replies

    Thanks Aubie

So I am probably over thinking this like I do with everything else, but I was able to log onto the IRS website and just print out a copy of my IRS Transcript for 2015.

I notice there are multiple transcript types you can get online I assume it is just the "Tax Return Transcript" type that is needed?

My tax returns for the past few years dont look good due not having a proper job until 10/11 months ago.

I meet well above the 100% poverty guidelines and have provided my partner with my employment letter, my updated employment letter (promotion) ..and notarised and about 10 of my past pay stubs which also reflect the increase in pay and my new position noted on the most recent ones, is this suffice for London. I just hope that if I provide a tax transcript it wont work against me and my partner due to it looking poor despite my current salary meeting guidelines.

  7. Hey VJers

For those who have went or had a partner go through the K1 interview in the past couple months

I understand the first step you hand over forms and then you get called again when they look over your paperwork and the beneficiary gets asked some questions.

How long does does this stage roughly last and what specific questions did you get asked?

    Many thanks

yes, the DS3025 needs to be marked complete for AOS.

It would be very helpful if you would complete your profile and timeline to include what consulate/medical facility, type of visa filed, and country.  This helps direct your posts to the proper forums and country portal where others will see it and respond.

I see so what do you recommend calling them and asking why they didn't correctly fill it all out and mark it complete?

Furthwrmore i apologise about my profile I am currently on the mobile format but will update all when I'm on my desktop.

It it is a K1 visa for a UKC and London, England doctors

  9. My fiancé had his medical today and all went well.

Though looking at his DS-3025 form the only areas that are filled in are

    * A tick at Varicella history

    * Doctors name and date on first page

*Signature and date on second of the physician

All his vaccinations were up to date and none were needed. Though we are both curious because when it comes to the AOS stage should this DS 3025 not have all the vaccinations he has had in the past ticked with the dates?

He needs the police certificate too.

I made photocopies but they can do it there. Make them work for their £290!

The DS-3025 is what he will need for AOS later down the line. They give one to everyone anyway, even if you don't need it. I don't need one because I was on an IR-1 visa but they still gave me one.

Thank you all in check :)

Im not sure if someone knows the answer to this one but on the US medical questionnairre it mentions prior country ....my fiance did a working holiday visa in Canada a few years back for about 10 months, I understand that he was technically habitually resident to the UK though for the purposes of this form does he need to write Canada or leave it blank?

  11. Just to confirm he has collected the correct pieces for the medical

    Passport
    Vaccination Records
    Completed Medical Questionnaire
    Birth Certificate
    Letter received from Embassy

    Is there anything else?

Also should he make additional photocopies of anything to provide them?

What is the form he should ask a copy of at the medical ...to be used at the AOS stage much later?

  12. Hi I was wondering when my fiance goes for his medical and takes his vaccination records, does his doctor need to sign them?

His doctor printed a screenshot of his electronic vaccination records showing all dates and types of vaccinations he has received with his name and date of birth and NHS record number I assume this is suffice?

  13. Never mind we are all booked up

I see some forms saying bring old passports and others dont?

Also generally how long does it last at the embassy.

He has a midday appointment how early should he arrive?

A part from his messenger bag and folder of documents is he allowed to take in his mobile phone and charger?

  14. So is it ok to go ahead and tick yeah we received the letter.

I'm guessing if it says ready your allowed to do it as it's basically saying schedule the interview?

Also what is the website like does it give you a calendar of dates that are greyed out (full) ??

  15. He can book the medical, do the DS160 & notification of readiness with the LND, I believe he won't be able to book his interview until the file arrives in London (but someone who has used the new booking system will be able to advise better than me)

There are usually plenty of appointments available for the medical so he should be able to schedule one for whenever he wants.

    Congratulations :)

Medical scheduled, notification of readiness and DS160 all completed.

Went to schedule the visa interview but our relevant option states

"I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment"

So can anyone shed some light on this? The CEAC website says ready and can schedule interview?

  16. Just another update

I received a letter from USCIS stating that the NVC has received the I-129F petition and is forwarding to the London embassy, it also says this can take up to several weeks.

It states the LND Case number!

Can my fiance use this number and call to schedule a medical or should he wait until he receives the letter from the embassy?

How booked up do people find the Knightsbridge doctors are for medicals, is there any luck in getting one a few weeks out.

  17. The LND is the reference no assigned to your case when it is sent to the embassy in London, you need this to book your medical, complete the DS160 etc

I would call to get it but then I was a worrywort throughout this process

It means you are done with the US side of processing and heading for the home straight, make sure the beneficiary has everything ready, vaccinations complete, police certificate, birth certificate and the affidavit of support with evidence :)

If he gets the ACPO police certificate done how long is it to be valid for like if it is a month out from date of interview?

Just wondering if we file for that now and had in the interview in 2 months time if it would be considered "old"

  18. Because you may never receive the letter.

Things happen you know, and the NVC is notorious for not sending them at all or many many months after the fact. Or you could get five duplicates in a day. Whatever suits them at the time. :P

If you meet enough in salary then there is no need to fill in anything regarding savings.

Thanks again it has been more than 3 weeks since NOA2.

Online it just mentions it will be forwarded to the relevant NVC Center

So should I call the NVC center and ask for the LND number for my case?

Why do I need the LND number and what does it stand for?

  19. Because you may never receive the letter.

Hi is it not mandatory though?

In question 7 on the I-134 it asks for deposits in savings banks in the US?

  20. Most of your work after the approved petition is done, its mostly on the shoulders of your fiance now!

You can either wait for the NVC to send you a letter with your LND case number, or you can do what most of us do and start calling them 2 to 3 weeks after your approval notice to request the LND number over the phone.

Once the London Embassy receives your case from the NVC they will send a letter to your fiance. It took Jon about 3 days after CEAC showed "ready" for him to receive the letter. It was just a short letter with instructions on next steps which can all be found here!

You must leave at least 5 business days between your medical and your interview to make sure that the embassy has time to receive the results. They won't deny you for not having received the results, however they can delay your petition until the receive them so its best to just schedule them far enough apart.

Thank you is there any advantage to knowing the LND number before my fiance receives his letter?

Another thing that is playing on my mind is how much do savings play a role in the I-134 in terms of the embassy being satisfied?

My position meets the poverty guidelines for a household of 2 and I am about to receive a promotion which will raise my annual salary. Though I am paying student loans, bills etc and my savings are under 1k unfortunately!
