  1. I apologize if this is posted elsewhere but I can't find the answer.

I know fees change now and then but I want to be sure I get it right before sending in the package.

I have all forms done along with the I-485. I cannot find how much the fees are for the entire package. Also, we don't think that we want the I-131, does that make the total price less ?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Just now updated again...first update since 1-30.......still READY. Called Embassy....said just reviewed today, be patient and wait for notification. That's what they said on Feb 2.
Can someone PLEASE tell me what is going on?

One hour later and now it changed again back to AP but this is a different AP than the first AP a few weeks ago. ???? This mentions visa delivery if approved.

Never used that page. Don't like third party websites. I use the CEAC website. Her appt was 13th of Jan and I was with her so I know she passed and that's when the status started. Was told on the embassy helpline is was last reviewed on Feb 8th and watch for 2go email but STILL not on issued. The page you reference is for appointments or to make changes, not for statuses.

Are you monitoring the progress on the embassy website here: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ApplicantHome? I've noticed none of the clickable boxes work (I've tried all browsers except IE). I also noticed the document delivery is not populated but her appointment information is correctly listed in the appointment history section. Document delivery is correct on the appointment confirmation letter but it is concerning to me that it is not showing up here. Is yours populated correctly and do all the boxes link properly and work when you click them? Interview completed on 2/8 and just waiting for delivery. A bit frustrating that the webpage does not seem to be working correctly. Any ideas? I did send an email to the contractor who manages the website.

The change to non-immigrant on the 31st is normally the last step prior to the status "issued". You have 7 business days since that change. I'm sure it will be issued soon. Good luck :)

Not sure when it changed to nonimmigrant, probably the 31st. This just seems very long. All othets I've read have been 3-4 days. Thanks for the good wishes. Been here in the Philippines waiting for 3 1/2 months neglecting my small business in the US. Want to go home and get on with life.

If there is only one person being petitioned then it shows 01. In our case on CEAC, I petitioned my fiance and her son so this is how it shows:

    SGPXXXXXXXXXX 01 SGP      HERS

SGPXXXXXXXXXX 02 SGP     HER SON (K2)-----This will change by next week to MNL cause we transferred it to the US Embassy in Manila, it shows "TRANSFER IN PROCESS" for now.

Thanks so much for the info !!!!!!

Yes, from the day NVC sent your case to Manila and prior to the Visa being approved and issued, it normally says "IV" but when Visa was issued, it will change to "NIV" which means soon it will show ISSUED.

Thanks for that Mmagic ! One other thing I noticed while checking status (don't remember exactly when) is that in the pop up status box where the brown case number appears on the first line) they added 01 MNL after the original MNL case number. Any significance ?

Assuming it is K1 Visa and your fiance is done with interview. Look on top of CEAC, does it say IMMIGRANT VISA or NONE IMMIGRANT VISA? If NIV, then you have the visa and just a matter of time for it to change to ISSUED. CEAC status can change rapidly for some strange reasons, from AP to Ready back to AP then ISSUED.

If definitely says NIV. Actually I guess I never noticed it saying IV. Thanks for the into, just seems very long because everyone says 2-3 days of READY.

My fiancee and I received AP status on January 23, 2017. Status changed to READY on January 26 then updated on 31st again to READY. It has not updated again since then and is still on READY. This seems like an awfully long time to wait for 2nd AP Status or ISSUED. any suggestions ? I have been waiting here in the Philpines since Sept and we really want to go home. Thanks.

Says Nonimmigrant visa READY but still seems unusually long. After weekend will be 12 days. Thanks for replying.

Mine took 3-4 days before it switched to ISSUED, but it's different for everyone. I was as anxious as you while waiting for my visa, so I totally get it! But Sagot is right, we just really need to be more patient. It'll come soon enough. :)

Thank you Snowcat & Sabot ! Just seems a bit unusual (unless they're waiting on paticlars of Trump's travel ban ).

  12. My fiancee and I received AP status on January 23, 2017. Status changed to READY on January 26 then updated on 31st again to READY. It has not updated again since then and is still on READY. (9 days so far). One time we checked and it actually was on the READY (for interview) status  (for only about 1 hour) but changed back to visa READY status.

This seems like an awfully long time to wait for 2nd AP Status or ISSUED. any suggestions ? I have been waiting here in the Philpines since Sept and we really want to go home. Thanks.

  14. Things change all the time in the Phils!!! Again, don't wait for the NVC letter. It might not come! Please do check out those two links I sent you. Greenbaum and PhilippineSagot have this process down for Manila. Follow their guidelines step by step and you will be fine. Good luck.

Yea, they change all the time. Hopefully Pres. Duterte will straighten everything out.

Like I said, all you need is a 30 day visa stamp when you arrive and then go to Immigration Office and pay the fee to get an extension every 60 days. My fiancee has a Norwegian living across from her with his Filipino girlfriend and he goes to Manila every 60 days for an extension. She asked them personally and that's what he does.

    Thanks.

  15. I am confused a little. How long do you plan on staying in the Philippines? There is a set number of days that you can stay without a longer visa (30 or 45 days...I THINK)...but you just need to leave and return (go to Singapore for a day!) Some people in the Phils NEVER get the NVC letter so be prepared to keep calling NVC to get your MNL number. It is GO time once you get that number. It has been over three years for us, so I am a bit out of date. However, I strongly suggest that you head on over the to the Philippines subforum for more advice on staying long-term in the PI. In the meantime, look for PhilippineSagot and his website:

    http://visaconnection-philippines.com/

    and/or Greenbaum and his website:

    http://dennyeyberg.wixsite.com/filipino-am-visa

for up-to-date information on the entire K-1 process in Manila. Trust both of them…they know what they are talking about. BTW, I was lucky enough to be with Joan at her interview at the embassy. It was a great experience. Good luck!

Actually Stevephoto, all one needs to do is get the 30 day stamp at the airport window and then go to the Immigration Office in Manila and you can extension after extension. That's from a friend who did it. I plan to stay as long as it takes. Thanks for the reply. I have friends staying at my home who will send a pic of the NOA2 and the NVC/MNL number.

  16. I provided a link in post #4 on how to contact NVC, why don't you want to use that one? Is it because it requires internet to send them a message via that link?

The "Ask NVC" form was the best one for us as both me and the USC could use it and we got the answers in text (case number and all other kinds of info we asked for), meaning we'd never forget the case number or get it wrong (as has happened over the phone sometimes). Worked like a charm.

Scandi, that's what I plan to do...use the internet with your link as there's no cell tower signal there and wifi must be in a restaurant.. Computer is great for me. Thanks a lot for the link !!!

  17. Your Visa Service with 100% success rate told you about NOA 2 by November? That would be within 40 days approx. Given the fact that USCIS is backlogged,I do not think you will get it so soon. You should do what the senior members have told you and travel with peace.

Thank you abhishek_meli. I needed to hear that. Just wanted to know that everything can be handled there as long as I have all the necessary paperwork (plus some). Just concerned as to when I can get the NVC number online (or in a notice) after NOA2.

  18. I'd review the k-1 guide here one more time to ensure that I have all the things I need. And then I'd make sure I have numbers for my bank, my HR department, the visa folks, and anyone else who might have financial or legal documents you might need. The couple house sitting should also know where to locate/access any originals. I'm just curious, when did you get your NOA1? If you could fill in your timeline it will give you a rough estimate for receiving you NOA2 and will help others on the site as well. And it's very doable. I sent my fiancé all the documents he needed three months before his interview and he had no issues so yours should be acceptable (especially if you're there to sign new ones if needed).

Yes, the couple knows where everything is. I've gathered every conceivable document that I know of and more and have multiple copies of everything.

Where do I find the I don't know about having phone numbers to my bank, etc. as I haven't discovered how to make a call from the Philippines. My Straight Talk service doesn't work there on my cell. You know a good option for calling ?

Where do I fill in my "timeline" ? Received my NOA1 on Oct. 6. Not leaving here until Nov. 17 so maybe I'll have NOA2 by then.

The NOA2 requires no action, correct? Actually the NVC really doesn't require action either ? ....just the number to track where it's at ?
