  1. If you have not committed any crimes since arriving then there is no issue. If you have not heard anything more from the "police/detective" then I wouldn't worry about. Besides, if you had committed something you would have known and if you have been wrongly accused you would be in front of a Judge with your lawyer explaining the circumstances.

Relax. If what is true above then you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks, its just frustrating that someone's false accusation can ruin your career/life.

  2. Well at the time if filling out your forms you had no record so not like you lied.

However if it comes about that the polic do have something on you at a later date then yes ur GC would be in jeapordy.

I doubt that police would just leave u alone fir that long if they had an issue with you.

Sounds so serious u saying a crime of moral turpitude!!

Yes it was a serious crime, but as I told you it was laughably fake. But would they reject knowing that police didn't arrest me? Also will it even come up in the background check? Since i was never arrested and it was just a report with my name, age on it.

  3. Six months ago I received a call from a police detective about a crime of moral turpitude, he was saying someone has accused me of that crime. The accusations were not making sense/obviouslyfake, hence the detective never contacted me again. The detective had only my name, age and height. The single phone call by the detective was the only contact I had with law enforcement. Now I am filling for adjustment of status, I checked no to the arrest/citation/convictions in the 485 application. Do you guys think it will come up in my fbi background check? Am I in trouble? Can they deny my green card? Thanks for the help, I am very tensed and it's just unfortunate that I have to go through this without any fault of mine. Thanks.
