The idea of "using income" is not valid, in this context.  The affidavit of support is a contract.  The proper thing to do in your case is not to combine YOUR income with anybody, but rather to have one of your parents be the "Joint Sponsor".  Joint sponsor provides I-864 and combines income with their joint filing spouse, who provides I-864a in conjunction with their spouse, not the petitioner.

It is a common misconception that the sole purpose of the affidavit of support is to prove "qualification".  Yes, the sponsor must qualify, but the real purpose is the contract and it's obligations.

That makes sense. Thank you sir!

Oops! According to the link, scanned copy or photocopy is accepted:

" A signed Affidavit of Support from your petitioner and any additional financial sponsors who submitted a Form I-864 on behalf of your visa application.  Applicants may bring photocopies and scanned versions of signed Forms I-864 and associated documents. (Please note that the form must still be signed; typed names and electronic signatures will not be accepted.)"

    Do you have a copy???

Yes. I do have a scanned copy of those documents.

You'll definitely need to bring the original I-864 and the supporting documents :) Good luck!!

Thanks! But I already submitted the original documents to the NVC. What should I do now? :(

Whatever they submitted to USCIS is what you need to bring. IMO i would being everything possible so that you can provide it in the interview if the officer asks for it. (This is what i did, but luckily they didn't ask to see anything). It's best to be over prepared than under prepared :)

Thanks! And one last thing, is it mandatory to bring the W-2 form during the interview?

  5. No our PD is 12th January, 2004. And this month's (November) visa bulletine says that current priority date is 01DEC03. So I hope my mom will get notified in the next month.

I've paid my IV fees, submitted my DS-260. I even have the receipt and ds-260 confirmation page. Do you think during my mother's interview, the consulate officer will calculate my cspa age? I'm so confused now. :/

  6. My aunt applied for my mother back in January 2003. Her Petition was approved in 2009. Our priority date becomes current in the next month. My birth year is 1994 so if I am correct, I'am CSPA eligible. Back in november 2015, when nvc contacted my mother for visa preprocessing, we sent an email describing my situation and requested them to include me with my mother's case. After that, NVC sent invoice for me and we also submitted DS-260 form for me. My name was also included in the CEAC website. But few days ago I checked the site and saw my name was removed and on the IV application status of that website, it says 'Not Available'. Though visa fee shows 'Paid'. What does it mean? What should I do now?
