As are the appropriate forums from those already partaking in the process. Their do's and don'ts really help too.

Well look at my initial postings and it tells you I have used the site for the guides etc but have not yet filed.... Aim to do so next month fingers crossed if all goes well with paperwork gathering.

Ps AOS is the same as permanent residency and there are guides here to help but as many people have said you need to obtain sound legal advice. Try a couple first if they have an initial free consultation as you will get a sense if how promising it is in your circumstance abd if the advice is consistent.

My only true reservation in your case will be the firearms element as although stealing is serious too I just think the "gun crime" obstacle is a more difficult hurdle to get over.
