Congratulations! We have our interview scheduled next week and I am from the Philippines, right now the Philippines president is being a jerk to the United States. I hope it won't affect my aos journey.
Thank you! I don't think it will be a problem - seeing as you've got the interview scheduled it seems like USCIS has been able to get all the info they need to process your AOS application. Good luck next week and let us know how it goes!

Congratulations to all those who have completed the process and all the very best to those still waiting - hang in there!
I had my interview last week - it was very straightforward and we were told at the interview that our case was approved. It lasted about 40 minutes but could have been shorter if they hadn't been experiencing technical difficulties on the day! Our officer was impressed about how quickly the case was processed. One thing we were told was that me being from the UK probably helped because the USA & UK have good communication and typically speedy sharing of information. Other countries might take longer to share records and/or need to be translated. Don't know if there are any other Brits on here who would agree with this? Obviously there are lots of other issues which might hold up cases, fortunately I think ours was pretty simple.
Thank you for the support and company along this journey folks - I wish you all every happiness!

Just got home from our interview. APPROVED!!!
Congratulations! Thank you for the helpful summary - I've got my interview on Wednesday so it's great to hear of different experiences as we finalize all our evidence.

Congratz to all who got theri combo cards! I have a question to those who already applied for drivers license. If you have international drivers license overseas, would u still need to get a learners permit or u can just go to DMV and ask for written and practical test? Thanks!
I'm in Arizona and already had a UK driver's license. I was able to just go in for the written and practical test and got my license without the need for a learner's permit, it's probably the same in other states.

Congrats to everyone who has got their cards and good luck with any interviews. Hope anyone who is still waiting for news will get some soon!
Received EAD/AP card yesterday - not in mailbox, the mailman tucked it into my screen door. After getting the "card has been mailed" update I didn't receive any tracking updates, the card just turned up. Interview next week so finishing collecting together all our evidence and info.

You'll need your marriage license and ID
I think they'll want you to bring in a new completed application form for the SSN card as well as marriage license and ID:
I am waiting to get my combo card so I can do the same!

Exactly 14 calendar days after EAD was being produced and approved (September 23rd), we finally got a status change to "My Card was Mailed to Me." This happened just 15 minutes ago. Looking forward to getting that EAD in the mail!
15 days for me since EAD/AP approval, but finally got a status update that the card has been mailed. Woohoo!!
-
My status never changed to card has been picked up or whatever after it had been approved. Received card in mail this morning. You guys gotta take a deep breath and relax. It'll get there.
There's hope for me yet then! 15 days since my EAD was approved but nothing yet - no update, nothing in the mail. Am attempting to practice patience!
-
Case status was changed to card was mailed last 9/30
Then today 10/03 i got a notification saying it's now picked up by usps with a tracking number.
I probably get it by tomorrow. 14 days after approval.
No updates so far on i-485
GodBless everyone!
Thanks for this update. My EAD/AP was approved 2 days after yours so hopefully I will get an update about the card being mailed soon. Seems like they have had a bit of a backlog producing the cards.
Currently organizing our folder of evidence for the interview. Hope everyone who hasn't heard about their interviews gets to hear something soon.
God bless everyone too!

Got my combo card today just randomly checked the status and it had been delivered! Now to get a job and get driving! Good luck to those still waiting! I'm also intrigued how long it'll take before my status for the greencard will change!
Congrats! My EAD/AP still says approved, hope they mail it soon!
Good luck with the job hunt and driving test!
-
Received the hard copy notice for my EAD and AP approval today. Fingers crossed that the combination card will be sent out soon.
For those who have received their cards how long did it take to receive it from the date of receiving the approval?
Got the approval notices as well..
I got my approval today as well..
Hope the card come soon in the mail
And another who received the EAD/AP notices in the mail today. Hopefully it won't be long until we have the card in hand!
-
Have my combo card in hand!! Probably a dumb question but what happens after a year and it expires...do you reapply or is it given to you!
Thanks,
Christine
Congrats! As ken88 says, the EAD should cover you until you get your Green Card. If the Green Card process does take longer than a year though, I believe you can apply for an extension on the EAD.

Just got an update today to say my card was mailed to me I've started looking into jobs and getting my resume in order, I must admit I'm feeling overwhelmed right now and I'm worried that it's going to take me forever to get a job! I can't drive here yet and don't have access to a car so I feel kind of stuck on places to apply for work!
Hurrah! I hope it arrives soon.
Good luck with the job hunt - take it a day at a time and be positive. It can be limiting without a car and feel overwhelming with all the job adverts and applications but it'll be worth it in the end. Check out local events in the area and see if you can get out there and network with people - you never know who you might bump into!
-
So happy for you!
Thank you! I hope you have news soon!
-
My EAD case has just been updated online to new card being produced -yay!!
Hoping all those still waiting hear very soon! Hang in there everyone!
-
We are on the same boat with my luck I'm probably the captain that means I'll stay longer in the boat .. if we don't hear anything by this Sunday wich will be 75th day we can raise a SR hopefully we don't go there
Haha! All aboard the good ship AOS! I've just been counting and saw that day 75 is Sunday. Hopefully we'll hear something in the next couple of days so we don't have to put a request in! All the best!

When is your PD? I don't have an interview date yet unlike you you are set for Oct... mine just shows ready to be sched for interview just checked the mail and nothing still!!?
My PD is July 12. My case is being processed at the NBC. Not sure when to chase them up about the EAD. I hope you get an interview date set soon!
-
Congratulations and good luck everyone!!
My PD is July 18, my I-485 is showing ready to be scheduled for interview as of 09/06 but nothing on my EAD/AP and I-131... anyone on the same boat as me?
Same as you - I've had my interview scheduled for October but nothing on my EAD or AP. Really want to be able to find a job soon so was hoping I'd have heard something by now.
Congratulations to everyone too who has had good news!
-
My interview has just been scheduled for October 23!
That probably means no EAD in the meantime, right?
I'm in the same boat - got my interview data but no update on EAD yet. From what I've heard, we could still get it before the interview.
Does anyone know if all goes well at the interview and we're approved, whether we get anything there and then which will allow us to show prospective employers we can legally work or do we have to wait until we have the Green Card in hand? (This is assuming the EAD hasn't arrived by then). Thanks!

However a quick question. if it is at fingerprint fee received status, does that mean i will not be getting a rfe??? do you know?
An RfE is still possible, my fingerprint fee was received but I still got one. Hopefully you won't!
-
Congrats to everyone that is moving along. I am having some issues with my RFIE. Its been one month and I still have not received it. For those who have received and RFE how many days/ months do they give you for you to respond.
Thanks!
The RfE copy I received in the mail said I had 87 days to respond so you should have time still. I got the e-mail telling me about the RfE on August 18th and they said I should put in an e-request for a copy of the notice if the letter hadn't come by September 17th. Have you submitted an e-request about yours (www.uscis.gov/e-request)?

EAD changed to "New card is being produced" today! Woohoo!!
Congrats! Got my interview notice in the mail but still waiting for news of my EAD/AP!

We submitted my husband's AOS and EAD applications which were accepted on August 8. We've yet to receive a Biometrics appointment letter and after 30 days, I called USCIS and submitted a service request. I just received an email that states:
"Your case has not been scheduled for Biometrics at this time. You will be notified at the address provided in the application as soon as your application reaches the relevant stage of processing, and as soon as a date for Biometrics can be scheduled."
I realize some people end up waiting quite a while for the Biometrics appointment, but what I'm wondering is can an EAD be issued before the biometrics are done? The USCIS rep on the phone told me that in many cases, it can but couldn't give me a straight answer. I'm just wondering if anyone here who adjusted from a K-1 got an EAD prior to biometrics.
Thank you in advance!
Hi! A colleague of mine received her EAD before she had her biometrics done so it is possible. There's a place on the front of the EAD where a fingerprint is shown, my colleague's card just has a blank space there.
-
YAY! Congrats! Glad you're finally getting some progress. Hopefully the infopass meeting will be helpful with regards to your biometrics.

Hi! We hadn't filled in one box on the I-864 form - really annoying! We sent a new I-864 form in along with the evidence we had previously sent in before, just to be on the safe side. I was worrying what it might whilst we waited for the hardcopy to come in the mail - I hope you get yours soon so you know what to do! From what I've heard most RFEs for I-485 are related to the affidavit of support.
